Jade hummed a little as she ate. “Well, I think this turned out very good.” she told Alex.
Jade hummed a little as she ate. “Well, I think this turned out very good.” she told Alex.
Alex smiled. "Well thank you, Jade." He replied happily.
Jade smiled back at him, nodding a little before taking another bite.
They continued eating quietly, Max or Alex occasionally making quiet comments to each other.
Jade smiled softly at the sweet scene the couple made as she continued to eat quietly.
Killian was quiet, smiling a little bit as he ate.
Jade had to admit, it has been a long time since she had a meal like this. With people other than her roommate… It felt nice.
"So, Jade, what do you do for a living?" Max asked curiously, looking over at her.
“Oh, I do computer repair.” she answered easily. “I have a freelance contract with some tech repair company so I get to work at home.”
"Oh, that's neat." Max replied. "Is this a long-term thing, or just for a while, or do you not know? Not that it's a bad thing if that's permanent! I'm just curious." He smiled a little bit.
She chuckled a little, waving aside his concern. “It’s pretty permanent since I don't have any other career plans. I love working on computers and tech.” she smiled back.
"Of course, of course. Is it a good job, then." He questioned, taking another bite of food.
“It keeps me busy.” she smirked. “Though some of the phone calls I get… the solution is often so simple and no one even tries.” she chuckled again.
Max laughed a little bit. "Yeah. I'm afraid I'm rather hopeless with my own computer. Lucky for me, Alex is good with them, but he's probably not as good as you are."
Jade chuckled, a blush rising to her cheeks at the compliment. “Thank you, though I wouldn't say I'm that good.” she said in an attempt to make her computer skills seem more normal. “But if you ever need any extra help, feel free to call me.” she offered.
Max smiled a little. "I'll do that." He replied, taking another bite of his food.
Jade smiled sotfly, glad to be able to help. "It's the least I can do for you after being a surprise guest." she said lightly joking before returning to her meal.
Max smiled. "Mm. Well, thank you, though."
"You're welcome." Jade nodded back.
Max went back to eating, quiet.
Jade gave one more smile before going back to enjoying the meal.
Killian galnced over at her with a faint smile.
Jade blushed a little when she noticed Killian’s look but still smiled back.
Killian smiled again.
Jade giggled softly, her blush darkening.
Killian leaned over to kiss her cheek.
Jade froze in surprise for a moment before looking to see if Max and Alex noticed.
Alex smirked faintly at them, but didn't say anything about it.
Jade quickly looked away from Alex’s expression. Maybe it was because this was her first… intimate relationship that she felt like a shy embarrassed teenager. Plus Sparky’s comment from earlier kept popping up in her mind.
Alex went back to eating, not saying a word.
