“Ok.” she nodded softly, looking up at him. “Did you still want to drive?”
“Ok.” she nodded softly, looking up at him. “Did you still want to drive?”
"Yeah. If that's alright?"
She nodded calmly. “Of course it is.” she assured him.
He nodded, getting on the bike and waiting for her to join him.
She smiled at him as she strapped on her helmet and got on the bike, wrapping her arms around his waist.
He smiled back, starting up the bike and beginning to drive.
She leaned against his back and held on to him as he drove.
He followed the GPS instructions towards their destination.
She stayed quiet and watched the scenery pass, keeping her mind active by trying to memorize any landmarks on the way.
He kept driving.
She wondered how long of a drive they had ahead of them but brushed that aside. It didn't matter if this visit helped Killian get some form of closure on what happened to his mother.
It was about another twenty minutes before the bike came to a stop outside of a small house.
Jade sighed a little as she felt the bike stop. She looked over at the house and stretched her legs as she dismounted.
He got off the bike, pulling out the keys and handing them to Jade.
She took off her helmet and gave him a reassuring smile as she accepted the keys.
He returned the smile, heading towards the house.
She activated Sparky’s security and hesitantly started following Killian. She couldn't deny that she was curious about what happened but she wasn't completely sure if she would be welcome to stay and listen.
Killian knocked on the door to the house, waiting anxiously.
Jade stayed a couple steps behind, waiting quietly.
A man came to the door, opening it up. He looked a few years older than Killian, with sandy blond hair, a beard, and kind green eyes. "Hey, Killian. Who's this?" He gestured to Jade.
"Hey, Alexander. This is Jade." He replied.
“Hello.” Jade smiled shyly, finally walking to stand beside Killian.
Alex nodded a little. "You wanna come in?" He asked, stepping back to let them in.
"Yes please." He said softly, stepping inside.
Jade swallowed a little, nervous as she followed Killian into the house. “Thank you.”
"You're welcome." Alex said, closing the door. "I assume you're here to see the data about Killian's mom?"
Killian nodded. "Yeah. Please."
"Right. This way, then. Come on." Alex led them into his office, where he had a map spread out on the wall with pins in it, and a laptop open on the desk.
“I hope you don't mind me tagging along.” she said apologetically. “I’m mostly here for emotional-support… and I am curious as well.” she admitted as she followed them to Alex's office, her eyes immediately drawn to the map.
Alex nodded. "Of course. So long as Killian's alright with it. It is technically a cold case, however that doesn't mean you aren't held to silence about anything that happens in this room. Killian may have told you his belief about who killed his mother, but unfortunately we have neither evidence nor a confession of that, so the case remains open and cold. Again, you may not spread what you hear in this room, since while Killian is most likely right about who killed his mother, Amara, we have no real evidence, so cannot legally say for certain. Does that make sense, miss…?"
“Crowe. But it's ok if you call me Jade.” she told him. “He did tell me… Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. If anything I’ll probably only talk about this with you and Killian.” she promised.
Alexander nodded, sitting down at his desk. "Right, good." he replied. "Now then, if you could both sit down? Killian, do you remember what I told you last time you were here? I'll need to build off of that to explain all the new information."
"There was someone in the gang who had…who was turning informant. That's all I remember." Killian replied.
(do you remember the name of the gang??)
(I believe it was Ten Cranes)
Jade nodded a little and took a seat, mentally taking notes on the conversation.
(alright, thanks!)
Alex nodded, tapping a few keys on his laptop. After a moment, he picked up a pair of glasses, putting them on with a sigh as he read through a document quickly, then looking over at Killian. "Right. The informant…" he glanced at Jade for a moment, uncertain, then at Killian. "Look, you get special privileges since you're the victim's family and it's a cold case, but are you sure you trust miss Crowe with this information?" he glanced at Jade. "Not that I don't trust you, I just…"
"He doesn't trust you. It's his job." Killian interupted with a soft laugh. "But it's fine, Alex. I trust her."
