(Sure! tails, so Jade wins)
(ok. I’ll start.)
Jade sighed as she gathered up her pile of cards, giving Raven an apologetic glance. This game was purely a luck-based numbers game and while she wasn't disappointed that she won, she did feel bad that her friend hadn't.
“Sorry if I jinxed you by being on your team.” Sophie told Raven as she sat back up and stretched out a little.
Raven laughed, gathering her cards as well. "Ah, don't worry about it." she told Sophie. "I don't mind losing every now and again."
“What a good sport.” Sophie chuckled with a smirk. “But I think we should do something for you to make up for your loss.”
“You could always take Raven out to dinner.” Jade suggested coyly, not making eye contact with either of them. “As fun as that game was, it certainly lasted a while.”
Raven blinked, glancing over at Sophie at Jade's suggestion. "Well. We could?"
Sophie blinked in surprise at the idea, not completely expecting that from Jade, but smiled a little at Raven and shrugged. “I wouldn't mind if you're up for it.” she admitted.
Raven nodded a little. "I'm up for it."
“Alright.” Sophie's smile grew. “Where would you like to go? I’m buying.” she quickly insisted as Jade politely took the rest of the cards to put them away.
"Oh, uhm…I don't know. Italian? Or Greek? I don't know, I'll eat just about anything."
“Let’s do Greek. I haven't had a good gyro in a while.” Sophie smirked. “Plus, Jade makes pretty good Italian but it feels like we just had some recently.” she teased.
She laughed. "That sounds perfect. Let's do it."
Sophie nodded, actually liking Raven’s laugh. “Well, ok then. Just give me a minute to change into something a bit more… casual then we can go it you're ready.” she offered.
Jade smiled, shaking her head at the little twist on her friends antics.
Raven inclined her head faintly. "Of course, I look forward to seeing the change."
Sophie giggled and stood up. “I’ll try not to keep you waiting then.” she assured before heading over to her room. “Be right back.”
She smiled. "Alright."
“I may be making assumptions but I think she likes you.” Jade smiled as she put away the cards.
She laughed a little. "Yeah, maybe."
“I hope you both have a good time. I've never… Does this count as setting someone up?” she asked, showing her inexperience in this situation.
Raven shrugged. "Maybe? I don't know."
“Neither do I. Mostly because I've never done that before.” Jade admitted.
She laughed. "Ah, makes sense."
“Sophie’s set me up on a couple of dates before. Some blind too.” Jade shrugged. “Obviously, none of them actually worked out for me.”
"Mm, I see." she replied.
“Hopefully things go better for you two.” Jade smiled kindly.
"Hopefully. I think it might." She replied, smiling.
Jade smiled back and nodded as Sophie came out of her room in a more comfortable short skirt and single strap blue tank top.
“Much better. You ready to go, Ray-ray?” Sophie asked with a slightly nervous smile.
Raven's gaze flickered over Sophie for a moment, and smiled again. "Yup."
Sophie brushed some of her curly hair behind her ear and quickly grabbed her purse. “Alright then. The restaurant is within walking distance so we don't need to take a taxi or anything.” she assured as she walked towards Raven.
"Alright, sounds good. I've got to put my shoes on." She said, getting out her shoes and slipping them on.
Sophie nodded with a light chuckle. “Sure. Don't wait up.”
Jade sighed, very used to hearing that comment from her roommate but didn't think it had quite the same meaning this time. “Have fun, you guys.”
