Melissa giggled some at the gentle kisses, squirming in his arms. "Mmm… I love you, toooo~" She hummed, trying to get away.

Lucas pulled Melissa closer and smiled down at her as he kissed her. "Sooooooo much~"

Melissa whined some, still attempting to pull away. "Luuuuuuuu~" She groaned, gently pushing on his chest.

Lucas hugged Melissa more tightly, seeming pleased with himself. "You're the best, Mel."

Melissa was pouting as she buried her face in his shoulder. "No I'm nooooooot…" She mumbled, keeping her face hidden.

"I think you are~…" Lucas kissed Melissa again, wrapping himself around her.

“But I’m not… m’not the best.” Melissa sighed softly, kissing his shoulder. She nuzzled up against him, clearly not too opposed to his affectionate behavior.

"You're the best to me and for me." Lucas smiled gently. "Which makes you the best in my eyes."

Melissa looked up at him, smiling just barely. "Mm… I guess I can't really argue with that…" She mumbled, nuzzling into the crook of his neck.

Lucas pressed a few more kisses to Melissa's cheeks and kept her close, humming happily to himself.

Melissa sighed softly, relaxing in his arms. She stayed curled up against him, happily sitting there in silence for a decently long time.

"How long do you wanna stay here, darling?" Lucas asked gently what a good long while.

"I dunno…" Melissa mumbled, curling up even closer. "How long do you wanna stay?"

"I'm happy to stay as long as you want to stay, Melissa." Lucas smiled down at Melissa.

Melissa nodded, kissing his shoulder. "Mmm… alright. Can we just stay for a couple minutes more? And then we can go back so you can get work done…"

"Yeah, sure Mel." Lucas sighed. "Not looking forward to doing that, to be honest…"

"I know, Lu…" Melissa mumbled, pulling him closer. "But you need to, love."

"But it's dumb…" He whined. "Will you help me with it at least?"

"Of course, Lucas. I'm willing to help you as much as you need it." Melissa mumbled, kissing his forehead.

Lucas smiled weakly. "Thanks, Mel… hopefully I'll be able to get it all done eventually."

"Mm, I'm sure you will… I'm gonna help as much as I can." Melissa mumbled, burying her face in his chest.

"Thank you…" Lucas nuzzled against Melissa and gently kissed her again. "I love you."

"I love you, too~" Melissa hummed, kissing him in return. She smiled gently as she nuzzled up against him in return.

"Just let me know when you're ready to go and we can head back, alright?"

Melissa nodded, snuggling up even closer. She held onto him tightly, burying her face in his shoulder.

"Mm…" Lucas closed his eyes and huddled up tighter with Melissa, just letting her relax.

Melissa snuggled up even closer, sighing softly. After a couple minutes, she looked up at him. "Mm, ready to head back?"

"Mhmm." Lucas got to his feet and held his hand out to Melissa to help her up as well.

Melissa took his hand, yawning as she stood up next to him. “Thanks for being with me, Lu… it means a lot.”

"No problem, Mel. I love you." He smiled gently and kissed her, holding her tightly with one arm.
