"Mm, that's true… maybe we could go exploring? Or, um…" Melissa trailed off, biting on her lip as she thought. "I'd say we could go shopping, but I don't think you'd find that very fun."

Lucas laughed softly. "Well, I'm perfectly content to do whatever you wanna do, Mel. Regardless of what it is."

Melissa nodded a little, sighing softly. "Mm… maybe we could just goof off around town? We could go to Seven-Eleven or something… though it's a little cold for slurpies."

"Mmmm… well, if that's what you wanna do, then that's what we'll do." Lucas kissed Melissa gently.

"We don't have to, Lu." Melissa laughed some, kissing his shoulder. "It's okay. We can find something else."

"I'm honestly happy to do anything, Melissa." Lucas laughed as well. "I'm an open book."

"Mm, then we should get up and just go out. We can find something more specific to do while we're out." She hummed, starting to sit up.

"Sounds good to me, Mel." Lucas got to his feet and held his hand out to Melissa to help her up.

Melissa smiled softly, taking it to get up. When she was on her feet, she wrapped her arms around him. "I should probably put real clothes on first."

"Yeah, I should probably do the same… what should I wear?" Lucas asked softly.

"Mm, I dunno. Something casual." Melissa shrugged, running her fingers through his hair. "We're not doing anything fancy."

"Sounds good to me." Lucas kissed Melissa softly and headed off to change into a hoodie and jeans.

Melissa also changed pretty quickly into a long-sleeved t-shirt and jeans, coming down the stairs after pulling on her boots. "Mm, you ready to go?"

"Yep! Lead the way, darling." Lucas took Melissa's hand and gently kissed her cheek, smiling softly.

Melissa grinned, leading him out the front door with a hum. She held tightly to him as she walked down the side walk. "Mm, where to first?"

"Wherever you want, whether that be 7-11 or shopping or anything else. Within reason… preferably within walking distance."

"Alright… I won't make us walk too far." Melissa chirped, eagerly making her way down the sidewalk. "You really don't care?"

"I really don't care, darling." Lucas smiled gently and kissed Melissa's cheek again.

"Mm, alright, alright…" Melissa hummed softly, resting her head on his shoulder. "Did I thank you yesterday for such a good birthday? Because if not, I want to."

"It's no problem, Mel. I had fun too." Lucas pulled Melissa closer to himself. "I'm glad you liked it."

"I really did…" Melissa sighed contently, smiling gently. "It was really nice."

"I'm glad to hear it." Lucas kissed Melissa again and continued walking with her.

Melissa smiled more, kissing him in return. She hummed softly, holding onto one of his hands tightly. "I love you…"

"Love you too, Mel…" Lucas laced his fingers with Melissa's and glanced around as they walked.

Melissa stayed close, leading him up to an open shopping area, humming softly. "We don't even have to go in anywhere, but I thought we could at least take a look."

"Sure, Mel. We can go wherever you wanna go." Lucas looked into the shop windows as he and Melissa passed by, trying to figure out what everything was.

"If you see anything you wanna look at, let me know." Melissa hummed softly, pecking his cheek.

Lucas nodded a bit. "Alright… I'm probably fine, though. I'm fine to go wherever you want."

Melissa nodded as well, nuzzling against him just a little. "Well, I just thought I'd offer." She hummed, sighing softly.

"Mhmm." Lucas returned the nuzzles, humming softly to himself as he wandered around with Melissa.
