"Mm… maybe a card game in a little bit." Melissa hummed softly, curling up in his arms.
"Mm… maybe a card game in a little bit." Melissa hummed softly, curling up in his arms.
"Sure, Mel. Any particular one? There's not a ton that I really know how to play…" Lucas hummed thoughtfully.
"Mm, maybe Uno, or something." Melissa shrugged, nuzzling against his shoulder.
"Sure." Lucas toyed with Melissa's hair a bit, humming softly to himself. "Sounds good to me."
Melissa smiled softly, relaxing into his arms as he played with her hair. She held on loosely to him, sighing softly. "That feels nice."
Lucas smiled as well and kept playing with Melissa's hair. "Glad you like it, darling…"
Melissa still smiled contently, eyes growing heavy as she leaned into him. "Mm… I also like you…"
Lucas flushed a bit and rested his head against Melissa's. "I like you too, Mel… are you tired?" He asked.
"Mhmmm~" Melissa mumbled before yawning. "I wanna sleep, but you probably don't want to…"
"I'm not super tired at the moment, but you can sleep if you want to." Lucas shrugged a bit.
"But I don't wanna, if you'll be alone…" Melissa mumbled, glancing up at him. "I can stay awake."
"I can just draw, Mel. I'm good at being alone. You can sleep if you need to sleep, darling."
"You'll really be okay?" Melissa asked softly, rubbing at her eyes. "I don't wanna, if you'll be lonely…"
"I'll be fine, Mel. You're tired, and you should rest." Lucas kissed Melissa softly.
Melissa nodded slowly, pulling a pillow up for herself. "Mm… wake me up if you need me." She mumbled, pulling a blanket up over herself before drifting off.
"Alright…" Lucas sighed and lingered for a few seconds before getting up. He grabbed some homework so that he could work on it while he waited for Melissa to wake up.
Melissa had been sleeping for a couple hours, before finally stirring. Yawning, she rubbed at her eyes as she sat up. "Lucas?"
"Mm?" Lucas looked up a bit. He'd gotten a few assignments done, but he was sick of schoolwork already. "I'm in the kitchen, love…"
Melissa rubbed at her eyes as she crawled out of the tent. Blanket still wrapped around her shoulders, she came up to him. "Mm, whatcha doing?"
"Homework…" Lucas sighed softly, resting his head on the knuckles of one hand. "It sucks."
Melissa gave him a slight frown, coming and hugging him from behind. "Have you been doing it this whole time?" She asked softly, resting her chin on his shoulder.
Lucas nodded a bit and kissed Melissa's cheek softly. "Yeah… I've gotten a few things done."
Melissa rubbed his shoulders just a little, kissing the top of his head. "Good for you… do you need a break? You look kinda frustrated…"
"Probably, yeah… I'm sick of this." Lucas set down his pencil and leaned back in his chair, running his fingers through his hair a bit.
Melissa kept rubbing his shoulders, pulling up a chair besides him. "Is there anything I can do to help?" She asked softly, reaching to hold onto his one hand.
"Mm… dunno…" Lucas rested his head on Melissa's shoulder and closed his eyes. "I love you…"
Melissa sighed softly, resting her chin on the top of his head. "I love you, too… please don't over-work yourself…"
"I have to, Mel… I've got so much to do…" Lucas sighed softly and moved a little closer.
"Lu…" Melissa sighed weakly, pulling him closer. "I'm sorry I didn't try to help you do this earlier… you had just gotten home, and… and I wanted to spend time with you."
"It's not your fault, Mel… don't try and blame yourself." Lucas closed his eyes and just let Melissa hold him. "I was putting it off too."
