"But I'd honestly rather stay up late tonight. I want to see the fireworks." Melissa insisted, tucking her hair back out of her face. "Please, I don't want you to be miserable."
"But I'd honestly rather stay up late tonight. I want to see the fireworks." Melissa insisted, tucking her hair back out of her face. "Please, I don't want you to be miserable."
Lucas sighed and huddled closer. "But we can go and do stuff now too if you want, Mel. I really don't need to sleep. I'm okay."
"But you're tired." Melissa insisted, laying back on her bed. She pulled him down with her, snuggling up against him. "I don't even know what I want to do. You can sleep for an hour while I try to come up with something."
"I'm not that tired, though… I'm seriously okay. I can… I can try and help you figure out what you wanna do?"
Melissa sighed weakly, running her fingers through his hair. She kissed his forehead, holding onto his face. "Sure, I could use the help." She hummed softly, pulling him closer.
Lucas kissed Melissa softly in return and rested his head against her shoulder. "Do you have any vague ideas of what you want to do?"
Melissa sighed weakly, looking up at the ceiling. "Umm… well… maybe- I think there was some kind of winter festival out on the board-walk? I dunno…"
"Sounds good to me… anything else, darling?" Lucas asked softly. "We can go wherever you wanna go."
“I- I don’t really know…” Melissa replied in a gentle tone, snuggling up closer. “I mean, we could start there. If I come up with anything else, I can tell you.”
Lucas nodded a bit. "Alrighty. Do you wanna go now or do you wanna wait a bit?" He asked.
Melissa shrugged, kissing the tip of his nose. “We could go, and maybe get lunch out?” She offered in a light tone, resting her head on his shoulder. “I probably just need some time to change.”
"Sounds good to me, Mel. You can go do that and I'll be waiting here for you, okay?" He gently kissed Melissa's cheek in return.
Melissa nodded a little, smiling softly. She sat up on the bed, sliding off so he could leave. “I shouldn’t be too long. Just a couple minutes.”
"Alrighty." Lucas left the room and went downstairs to wait on the couch for Melissa.
True to her word, Melissa was out only a couple minutes later. She bounded down the stairs, smiling brightly when she saw him sitting on the couch. "Ready to go?"
"Yep! You wanna lead the way or should I try and figure out how to get there?" Lucas asked as he got up and took Melissa's hand.
"I can lead the way. I'm pretty sure I know where it is." Melissa hummed softly, starting to pull him towards the front door. "It's a bit of a walk, just as a heads up."
"That's fine with me, darling." Lucas nuzzled against Melissa's cheek as he followed her outside, humming softly to himself.
Melissa smiled brightly, leaning over and kissing his cheek before eagerly pulling him along down the sidewalk. "We could sit up on the roof tonight, to see the fireworks." She stated softly, looking back at him.
"Sure, Mel. Sounds good to me." Lucas smiled gently as he returned the kiss. "Lead the way, darling."
Melissa nodded a little as she continued down the sidewalk. After about half an hour, she came up to the beach, looking back at him. "We can keep walking down the sidewalk, or we can walk down the beach to get to the boardwalk. Do you care which?" She asked softly.
"Nope! Either's good to me." Lucas hummed quietly as Melissa led him along. "I love you~…" He murmured.
Melissa smiled in return. She pecked his cheek, leading him down the beach. “I love you, too. You’re pretty spectacular.” She hummed, walking down to the shoreline.
Lucas flushed a bit and smiled shyly. "Glad you think so, Mel… I think you're pretty great yourself."
Melissa looked over her shoulder, smiling softly. "If you say so." She hummed in response, slowing down so she was strolling besides him.
Lucas held tightly to Melissa's hand as he kissed her cheek. "Are we close?" He asked softly.
Melissa nodded, resting her head on his shoulder. She pointed ahead with her free hand. "It's right up there,"
"Sounds good to me! We should get funnel cakes if we have them." Lucas smiled brightly.
"Mmm… we should definitely get some. And hot-chocolate." Melissa hummed, glancing up at him.
Lucas nodded a bit and smiled gently. "Of course darling. It's pretty chilly out here, isn't it?"
