Melissa glanced up at him, rolling her eyes some as she gently shoved on his arm. "Oh whatever." She mumbled, fighting back a smile.
Melissa glanced up at him, rolling her eyes some as she gently shoved on his arm. "Oh whatever." She mumbled, fighting back a smile.
"Yeah, yeah… we should get up now, yeah?" He gently kissed Melissa's cheek and swung his legs over the side of the bed.
Melissa sighed weakly, nodding. “Yeah… can you carry meeee?” She asked softly, reaching out towards him.
"Fiiiine…" Lucas got up out of bed and picked Melissa up to carry her downstairs.
Melissa grinned, wrapping her arms around his neck tightly. “Thanks, Love~” She hummed as she nuzzled against him.
"No problem, Mel." Lucas brought Melissa downstairs and set her down in the kitchen. "Here we are, milady."
Melissa kept a hold on him for a couple seconds before loosening her hold to stand on the floor. “Mm, thanks Lu.”
"Mhmm." Lucas settled himself down at the table so that he could start working on his homework again.
Melissa sat down besides him, leaning over and wrapping her arms around him. "I love you…"
"I love you too, Mel…" Lucas gently kissed Melissa's cheek and started scribbling down answers again.
Melissa stayed like that for a couple minutes, eventually pulling back to start on her own work. She stayed quiet for the majority of the time, occasionally glancing over to Lucas.
Lucas eventually fell into a rhythm with his work, occasionally referring to Melissa's notes to help him answer things.
When Melissa came to almost the end of her work, she pushed it aside and wrapped her arms around him. “You need your meds yet?”
"Yeah, probably…" Lucas sighed softly and whistled for cost to bring him his meds. He took them and closed his eyes to relax for a moment.
Melissa gently started rubbing his back, pecking his cheek. “Love you…”
"Love you too, Mel…" Lucas murmured, drinking a bit more water while he waited for the meds to kick in.
Melissa kept her arms loosely wrapped around him, looking up at him. “Let me know if I can help in any way…”
"Mm… thanks, Mel…" Lucas murmured, kissing Melissa's cheek gently.
Melissa smiled weakly, nuzzling against him just a little. "Of course, love… anything for you." She mumbled as she held onto his hand.
Lucas kept quiet for a while, but eventually started to relax when his meds kicked in. "Mm… I think I'm fine now, darling…"
"Good… anything I can do to make sure that's true?" Melissa asked softly, playing with his hair.
"Probably not, no. I'm sure I'll be fine." Lucas picked up his pencil and started scribbling down more answers.
"Alright, alright… we need to eat lunch sometime soon, don't we?" Melissa asked softly, slowly pulling back.
"Mhmm. Any ideas of what you might want for that?" He asked.
Melissa shrugged, curling up on the chair by herself. “Not really… m’not hungry. But I know we have to…”
"Yeah… we have a lot of sandwiches, but if you want that again, that's fine." Lucas shrugged a bit.
“We can do something else, I’m sure you’re tired of them by now.” Melissa laughed weakly, standing up to go through the fridge. “We really need more options…”
"Yeah…" Lucas sighed softly. "I just don't really know what else we've got. And I'm not exactly the best cook."
"You shouldn't have to make food all the time— and if you insist that you want to, I could try and help with your cooking skills." Melissa hummed, pulling something from the fridge.
Lucas shrugged a bit. "Yeah, I guess so… I don't mind it, honestly. I'm just not all that great at cooking."
