Peter shook his head. "I'm ready. And I think I'd be able to beat you." He sent her a wide, happy, sweet, trusting smile that would make anyone want to protect him, and then moved up to the front of the room.
Cole raised an eyebrow at the woman in front of her and moved back into his corner. He really hoped that no one would try to talk to him. He was already feeling sorry for the boy, and he couldn't have that. This was his chance to kill, to destroy. He couldn't have feelings messing that up. Running a hand through his hair, he watched the woman through narrowed eyes. She seemed familiar, somehow, and he felt as though he knew her. Shaking those thoughts away, he turned to watch Peter talking to more people, breaking out his innocent charm and wit.
Ally slipped a hand into one of the pockets of her trench coat as she watched the boy, withdrawing a decorative hair comb. The jeweled bird on the accessory caught the light as she looked down at it, brows furrowed. It was the only thing she had from her birth mother, whoever that was. According to Carver, it had been tucked into the baby blanket she'd been found in, along with a note. She'd lost the note years ago, when it had been taken from her and burned, and she had made the mistake of putting off reading it, meaning she had absolutely no clue as to the contents.
Shaking her head, she ran a finger over the bird, before tucking it away again with a sleight of hand, and turned towards the door. Her fingers moved quickly, signing a few unreadable sentences for no apparent reason to anyone but her, before she slipped out of the room silently, coat swirling around her feet.
Cole saw a glint on the wall and turned to see the woman leave the room. He narrowed his eyes, about to follow, when the announcement for the next group to fight was called.
"Peter and Mancester."
A thrill of fear went through him when he saw who the boy would be fighting. He was a middle-aged man, but clearly a skilled fighter. He wasn't like the others, who tried to show off and make people fear him. He seemed calm and quiet, and ready. Peter, however, looked nervous and jumpy, like a skittish rabbit.
Cole met Peter's eyes. "Good luck," he mouthed. The boy gave a small nod and the two of them stepped into the arena.
The Prince felt a twinge of unease.
((They uh, aren't at the Arena yet. They had to go to the Arena))
(Hey, I was wondering if we could do a reboot of this? I understand if you don't want to, that's okay. But I really liked it… although my character and writing style was crap.)
((oh shit, i had kinda forgotten about this. uuhhhhh i'd have to reboot the entire plot bcs i do not remember anything i had planned and i'm kinda shitty about responding but sure???))
(It's fine lol. Thank you very much! And I'm not on here a lot…)
((alright,, do you want to remake your character, and possibly make a new thread? i can repost the first post and templates, and i kinda want to revamp ally a bit))
(Yeah, that would be nice. Cole was kinda dumb… do you want to create the new thread, or do you want me to?)
((okay, in most reboots i've done of this, and in the original, ally is an heir to the throne who was somehow lost, likely ditched or kidnapped, and i'm not sure if i should keep that or rework it somehow?))
((ah! it's listed in her backstory. now….what to do with it, if i'm keeping it. and how to make potential romance not weird lmao))
(I think you should keep it like that! I'm not gonna have my character the prince… that was kinda weird… but it added a cool plot twist, and I think you should keep it!)
((alright then! and if you have any questions when it comes to making a new character, in regards to magic or background-things, just let me know!))
(Okay! Will do! Do you want me to just update them here or what?)
((i'll post new alli in the new discussion, which i'm about to hit post on once i @ you. i'd rather your character was posted there, that way it's all in one place, but if you want to post here that's alright too))
(I'll just post it on the new one!)
