She hummed in acknowledgment. ”That was an interesting fight.” she commented softly.
She hummed in acknowledgment. ”That was an interesting fight.” she commented softly.
"It was." He agreed.
She sighed softly and leaned against him, turning off the tv.
He held her close, kissing her cheek softly.
She smiled a little, looking up at him, still a little worried about him. ”What are you thinking about?” she asked softly.
"I don't know. It's just weird that Sofie thought that guy was me." He said, frowning a little.
Jade nodded, her brow furrowing slightly in thought. ”Yeah… It is a little. Maybe she just didn't get a very good look at him. You know, she could have hit her head and blacked out a little.” she offered as possibilities.
"Maybe…" He agreed slowly, frowning just a little still.
To be honest, Jade wasn't fully convinced by her own words either. She knew it was possible; she’d heard of multiple cases in police work where eye witness accounts were the least reliable sources. But there was something else… A stray thought in the back of her mind. It was easy enough to dismiss as ridiculous but it just wouldn't go away. She sighed a little and leaned against his shoulder.
He hummed for a moment, leaning into her a little.
She smiled a little and nuzzled against him.
He held her close, kissing her cheek.
She gave a happy hum at the gesture before returning it.
He smiled softly at her, holding her close.
She smiled back at him. ”Feeling better?” she asked softly.
He nodded a little. "Yeah. Thanks."
”You’re welcome.” she smiled, a little playfully, as she kissed his cheek.
He hummed for a moment, smiling at her.
She smiled back and gently hugged him.
He hugged her back, smiling faintly.
She sighed softly and lightly tapped out the familiar morse code against him.
He hummed for a moment.
She smiled softly and closed her eyes, nuzzling against his chest.
He hummed again, holding her close.
”You’re an amazing guy, you know that?” she said softly.
He shook his head a little. "Am not."
”Yes, you are.” she insisted kindly.
He grimaced a little, shrugging his shoulders.
She furrowed her brow as she looked up at him. ”Never thought I'd actually see you turn down a compliment.” she admitted. ”Just because you've done things… against the law, doesn't mean you're not a good person.” she assured him gently, cupping his cheek.
He wrinkled his nose faintly, shaking his head a little bit.
