With a light-hearted hum, Melissa gently dropped her head on his shoulder. "I find it funny how we went from being 'professional', to getting really cuddly. I was literally sitting in your lap the last time."
With a light-hearted hum, Melissa gently dropped her head on his shoulder. "I find it funny how we went from being 'professional', to getting really cuddly. I was literally sitting in your lap the last time."
"Heh… yeah. I like it. It's nice to be cuddly, you know? Makes me feel better."
“I agree… it’s been too long, honestly.” Melissa mumbled, smiling up at him. “I’m glad it makes you feel better… at least I’m able to do something to help.”
"You help me plenty, Mel." Lucas toyed with a strand of Melissa's hair and hummed gently. "You're great."
"I just meant right now. I wish I could do more to make you happy, so you aren't so miserable." Melissa rambled a little, growing quiet after that.
"This does help, Mel." Lucas kissed Melissa again. "I really like it when we get to do this."
Melissa nodded a little, letting out a soft sigh. "I just… I feel like I could be doing more…"
"With me stuck in here? I honestly doubt it. You're doing a lot for me Mel, and I appreciate it, okay?"
"But- I just-" Melissa tried to come up with something, falling quiet once again. Sighing weakly, she nodded a little.
Lucas smiled weakly and gently nuzzled against Melissa's cheek. "I really appreciate you coming to visit me."
Melissa flicked her gaze up to him, a slight smile pulling up. "I enjoy getting to see you… it's nice, really."
Lucas nodded a bit. "I don't really get to go outside much at all either… people have tried to escape in the past or something."
Melissa's smile dropped into a frown, reaching up to hold his face. "We can spend lots of time outside when they let you out… even though it's pretty cold."
"Sounds good to me…" Lucas sighed. "I'm sick of being cooped up inside all the time. I've gotten even paler than usual."
"Yeah… we'll have to spend a lot of time outside during the summer time. Or spring time." Melissa shrugged, kissing him.
"Whenever it's warm enough to do so, I guess." Lucas sighed. "It'll be nice to be out at all."
"Mhmm…" Melissa hummed softly, giving him a little smile. "We can do anything you want to."
"Thanks, Mel…" Lucas held tightly to Melissa. "I'm really looking forward to it."
"You don't have to thank me, I haven't done anything yet." Melissa laughed weakly.
"You've done all sorts of things, Mel… just accept my thanks, alright?" Lucas sighed softly.
Melissa groaned, burying her face in his shoulder. "Fineee…"
Lucas smiled weakly and nuzzled into Melissa's hair. "Thank you, Melissa…"
Melissa tried to hold back her giggles, keeping her face hidden. "Mmm… welcome…" She mumbled, trying to sound whiny.
"Don't pout, Mel. You don't even have to do anything other than accept that I'm appreciative of you."
"I can be pouty if I want to." Melissa huffed, lifting her face. She stuck her tongue out some at him.
Lucas pouted a bit as well and gently nipped at Melissa's tongue. "But I want you to be happy."
Melissa jumped a bit, her face growing red. "I- but… but I want to be pouty…" She mumbled, dropping her head back into the crook of his neck.
Lucas kissed the top of Melissa's head gently and held her close. "But why, Mel? Being happier is more fun."
"I dunno… I just want to prove a point." Melissa mumbled, lifting her face enough to look at him.
"Well, you've proved it. Let's just be happy now, yeah?" Lucas hummed happily.
