"You alright?" Melissa asked softly, slowing down so he could catch himself. She wanted to make sure he felt comfortable doing this.
"You alright?" Melissa asked softly, slowing down so he could catch himself. She wanted to make sure he felt comfortable doing this.
"Y-Yeah, sorry… I'm fine." Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek softly and took a moment to gather himself.
"You don't have to apologize, love." Melissa told him, smiling still at the kiss. "You're learning, you're allowed to trip up."
Lucas nodded a bit, his cheeks still flushed. "R-Right… um… I think I'm ready to keep going if you want."
"I'm ready if you're sure you are." Melissa hummed, kissing him in return. "We don't have to, if you don't want to."
"I'm sure, Mel… we can keep going." Lucas smiled weakly at the kiss, relaxing a little.
"Alright… you wanna try leading?" Melissa asked softly, a relaxed look on her face. "You don't have to, I just want to offer."
"I-I don't wanna mess it up too badly, though…" Lucas laughed softly, still seeming nervous. "I don't know what I'm doing."
"Then you don't have to." Melissa hummed with a smile. "I just wanted to ask. Technically, I'm doing it backwards, so it looks like you're leading." She shrugged, slowly starting to ease back into it.
Lucas nodded a bit, glancing around the room again to make sure he wouldn't bump into anything while Melissa led him along.
Melissa smiled softly, watching him as he glanced around. She wished she could settle his nerves, but she wasn't exactly sure how. "You still alright?"
Lucas nodded again, turning his attention back to Melissa when he was addressed. "Mhmm… what else should I do?" He asked.
Melissa studied his face admiringly, not exactly hearing his question. Though slowly her brain caught up as she blinked out of her trance. "Oh- um… I don't really know. I mean… we could take this a step further if you're up for it."
"Uhm… a step further?" Lucas asked, confused and nervous. "What… um… what exactly is a step further?"
"Moving around the room some." Melissa explained in a soft tone. "We don't have to. Not if you're not up for it."
"O-Okay, I… um… we can try that if you want to, Mel. I just can't guarantee that I'll do very well…"
"Practice makes perfect, love." Melissa hummed, starting to widen the space they had been in. "Just take a deep breath, and don't worry about it. We're just trying to have fun."
Lucas nodded a bit and tried his best to keep up with Melissa as she moved around the room.
Melissa attempted to go slower for Lucas's sake, but was still going rather swiftly. She didn't really register that fact. "You're doing great…"
"T-Thanks, Mel…" Lucas held tight to Melissa's hand and watched his feet so he wouldn't trip up again.
Melissa smiled softly, watching him quietly. She kept up the little bit of motion as he watched their feet. “I can go slower, if you need me to.”
Lucas nodded a bit as he tried his best to keep up with Melissa, almost stumbling again as they moved together.
Melissa watched him, before making the decision to slow down for him. She kept up a soft smile, humming along gently. "I love you…"
"I love you too, Mel…" Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek and sighed shakily, still trying to keep up.
"Hey, are you alright?" Melissa asked softly, gently tipping his chin up to look at her.
"Y-Yeah, I'm perfectly fine." Lucas kissed Melissa softly. "I love you…"
Melissa smiled weakly, kissing him in return. "I love you, too… I've honestly missed you so much."
"Me too, Mel… I miss you so much too…" Lucas rested his head against Melissa's shoulder with a soft sigh.
Melissa's smile picked up as she pulled her one hand from his grip, wrapping both arms around his neck. "I can't wait until you can come home…"
"Me either, Mel… I can't wait either. Hopefully it'll be real soon, yeah?" Lucas nuzzled against Melissa's cheek.
