"I'll do my best, but I'm not promising anything." Melissa hummed softly, smiling softly as she started to pull back. "You don't worry about me, alright?"
"I'll do my best, but I'm not promising anything." Melissa hummed softly, smiling softly as she started to pull back. "You don't worry about me, alright?"
"I'll try my best, darling." Lucas smiled softly as well. "I really love you, alright? Don't forget it."
"I'm trying my best to remember it. I really love you too- don't ever think I want to abandon you, okay?" Melissa asked softly, starting to step back.
"I know, I know… sorry about that, Mel." Lucas sighed. "I went a little bit crazy there, didn't I?"
"Hey, no need to be sorry. I really did seem to disappear off the face of the earth, and I'm so sorry. I promise I'm trying my best." Melissa told him softly, smiling weakly.
Lucas nodded a bit and rested his head on Melissa's shoulder. "Mm… I know you're trying, Mel… I'll try not to freak out so much."
"Thank you… I'm still going to come back as soon as possible. I promise." Melissa whispered, kissing his cheek.
"Thanks, Mel… I'm looking forward to it." Lucas sighed shakily. "Don't be gone long, alright?"
“I promise I won’t be. As soon as they let me back, I’ll be here.” Melissa promised, smiling softly.
"Sounds good to me, Mel. I love you…" Lucas nuzzled against Melissa's cheek with a soft hum.
"Mm, I love you, too." Melissa smiled softly, laughing a little. "You gonna be alright?"
"I hope so." Lucas hugged Melissa tightly and sighed. "I do miss you a lot when you're gone."
"Well, I'm planning on coming back when they let me. I won't make you wait any longer than you have to- or um… however that goes." Melissa laughed weakly, nuzzling against him.
Lucas nodded a bit and buried his face in Melissa's shoulder. "Mmkay… I love you, Mel. Um… see you soon?" He said softly.
"Of course. I love you so much. Take care of yourself, and Cody for me, alright?" Melissa asked in a gentle tone, stepping back.
"I will…" Lucas held Cody close to himself as he watched Melissa leave, his heart starting to pound hard in his chest. He really didn't want her to go. He didn't want to be left alone again.
(The poor bby…)
Melissa smiled weakly as she grabbed the envelopes off the table before heading out. She gave him a slight wave as she disappeared through the door, letting out a weak sigh.
(I'm about to sign off for the night, but I'm guessing we'll want to skip?)
(Probably yeah lol)
Lucas lingered in the visiting area for a few minutes before he returned to his room, hugging Cody all the while to try and calm himself down.
(Would we want to do the next visit, or a couple visits later?)
(Whichever you prefer ^^)
(:P I might do a couple later, just so there's some space in between. Any idea how long the gap should be?)
(Maybe she can come on Christmas?)
(Sure! I'll get that up in just a second.)
(Alrighty ^^)
Melissa pulled up to the building, letting out a soft sigh. She had a small smile up as she pulled a hat on, and pushed her door open. The ground had a decent layer of snow, with more coming down. She quickly made her way inside, careful not to slip, and was inside in a couple of minutes. She was sitting in visiting area, face flushed from the cold outside.
Lucas headed into the visiting area with Cody trotting along at his side. The puppy was bigger now than he had been the last time. "Melissa! It's so good to see you!"
Melissa smiled a little more, rubbing her arms still. "Hey! I'm glad I could come." She hummed a little, pulling off the hat. "God, it's so cold outside. I'm starting to miss the super hot days."
"Yeah… I haven't gone out, so I dunno." Lucas hugged Melissa tightly with a soft sigh. "I love you, Mel…"
Melissa smiled softly, wrapping her arms around him. "I love you, too… Merry Christmas, by the way." She hummed.
"Merry Christmas, Mel. Look how big Cody's gotten." Lucas held Cody up with a bright grin.
