Melissa smiled softly, kissing him in return. She lingered a little, enjoying it before pulling back. "Mm, why so kissy? You just miss me?"
Melissa smiled softly, kissing him in return. She lingered a little, enjoying it before pulling back. "Mm, why so kissy? You just miss me?"
"Of course I miss you, Mel. Why wouldn't I?" Lucas nuzzled against Melissa's cheek affectionately before she pulled away.
"Mmm, I was more wondering if there was another reason behind your affection." Melissa hummed softly, pulling his hand up to kiss softly. "It seems extra today."
Lucas shrugged. "Not really. We haven't seen each other in a month and Cody's been my only real company. I miss you."
Melissa gave him a soft smile, hesitating before standing up. "You want to curl up while we talk?" She asked softly, starting to walk around the table.
Lucas flushed a bit and looked away. "U-Um… yeah, if you want to, that's fine… I don't mind…" He replied softly.
Melissa came up close, holding her arms out to him. "Would it be uncomfortable for you to hold me on your lap? If so, I can just pull a seat up close." She hummed a little, not seeming to notice his red face.
"N-No, no, really, it's alright—!" Lucas insisted, looking up at Melissa and exposing his red face.
Melissa snickered softly, sitting down on his lap. "Mm, if this makes you uncomfortable, just tell me." She whispered, curling up and nosing into the crook of his neck.
Lucas buried his red face in Melissa's shoulder and huddled close to her. "N-No, it's okay, Mel… I don't mind."
"Mm, alright… gosh I've missed you." Melissa whispered weakly, holding onto him tightly. "You can come home now, right?"
Lucas laughed weakly, keeping his face hidden for the time being. "Mm… I wish, but not quite, love."
"I could sneak you outtt~" Melissa offered, her voice in a sing-song tone. "And we could live in the clearing."
"But I gotta be hereeee~" Lucas replied softly. "As fun as the clearing is, I'm getting the help that I need here."
Melissa pouted, nosing into his neck. "Fineee…" She mumbled, gently kissing him a few times.
"I love you~" Lucas purred, holding Melissa close to himself and returning the kisses as best he could.
"Mm… I love you too…" Melissa mumbled, happily kissing him more. "Even if you refuse to come home with me."
"Well, I don't think they'd like it too much if you tried to sneak me out. I'd end up back here and you'd probably end up in juvie or something."
Melissa stuck her tongue out, burying her face in his shoulder. "If I can actually get you out of here, they couldn't find us. We'd hide away, maybe in the cliff side."
"Mm… I'm not really into having a life on the run, Mel. I like being able to go about normal activities without worrying about being taken into custody if anyone recognizes me."
Melissa sighed softly, resting up against him still. "I guess that means you don't want to be partners in crime." She joked, looking up at him.
"Not particularly, no. Romantic partners? Definitely. But do I really seem like the type to be good at committing crime?"
“Mm… I’ve seen enough movies and shows. It’s a possibility.” Melissa hummed softly, smiling in a teasing way. “But I think jail is probably really similar to here. So probably not.”
"Yeah, that's a hard pass for me. You have fun with your life of crime while I stick to my legal prison."
"But I don't wanna do crimes if I can't kidnap you…" Melissa pouted, looking up at him. "It's pointless, then."
"Then maybe you can try being a fine, upstanding, law-abiding citizen?" Lucas suggested with a soft laugh.
"Mmm, but that means I can't kidnap you! Uhg! Life is so frustrating." Melissa huffed, crossing her arms with a pout.
"I know, love. Although, to be fair, I could probably overpower you if I really didn't want you to kidnap me."
Melissa only pouted more at that, looking up at him. "Mmm… but what about your hurt hand?"
Lucas shrugged. "I think I could probably still stop you. I'm not sure you'd be able to carry me out of here, especially without anyone noticing."
