”Ok.” She nodded and walked to the kitchen to check what was available.
”Ok.” She nodded and walked to the kitchen to check what was available.
He leaned back on the couch.
She sighed a little and hoped for something a little light for him. ”I got some leftover pizza or some homemade chili.” she called out.
He humed faintly. "I don't have a preference."
She hummed, nodding a little, before grabbing the container. ”I’m going to warm up the chili then. Want some cornbread with yours?”
He shrugged, rubbing his eyes for a moment. "Sure."
”Ok.” she said getting two small bowls for them and reheating their food.
He sighed faintly, still seated on the couch.
(gtg soon)
(Ok)
Once the food was ready, she brought out the dishes. ”I hope you like it. It shouldn't be too spicy.”
He took his carefully. "It should be fine. Thank you, Jade."
”You’re welcome.” she smiled, sitting next to him.
He blew on it to cool it down.
Jade smiled a little at him and dunked a corner of her cornbread in the chili. It may have been an odd habit but she just liked the way the flavors mingled this way.
He took a sip of the chili.
She looked at him expectantly as she took a bite.
He smiled a little bit, chewing and swallowing.
(what the fuck was I thinking, a sip of chili?)
She smiled back and continued eating.
(Lol, I was wondering about that but wasn't going to say anything )
He kept eating.
(lmao)
”So, what kind of trouble were you getting into before you got beat up?” she smirked lightly.
He sighd faintly. "Robbing a place."
”Figures.” she chuckled, not making fun of him just that was the first and most logical conclusion considering it was what he did. ”Get anything?”
He shook his head. "No."
”Probably for the best.” she said softly, knowing that she would at least attempt to get him to give it back because of her high moral standards… She was pretty sure he knew that too which is why she wasn't pushing the topic right now.
He nodded a little bit. "Mhm."
She sighed a little and went back to eating.
He kept eating his chili quietly, closing his eyes for a moment.
She glanced over at him and gently leaned against him, trying not to put too much pressure against his injuries.
He opened his eyes, looking down at her.
She smiled softly at him, blushing. ”Is this ok?”
He nodded a little bit. "Yeah."
