(alright! We were going to skip to Killian getting beat up, right?)

(Sure. If you want, that’s fine with me. I’m going to assume that it happens before their next ”date”.)
(yeah! And I was thinking either Jade sees it in the news, or the next time she sees him he's moving really painfully or something)

(Whichever you want. Jade does keep pretty close tabs on the news so… I’ll leave it up to you.)
(hnnnggg idk which to do tho)
(Well, if she sees him getting beat up badly on the news she’ll head over to his place asap… But we just left his home. He could always sneak into her apartment )
(oooh yes perfect! And she's like "what's wrong with you?" And he's just like, bruised and beaten and in pain)

(Absolutely!)
(perfect!)
Killian suited up and headed out to carry out his most recent plan. He wasn't sure who would catch him this time; Jade, or some other hero. He didn't really care, to be honest. He rather hoped it wasn't Jade, really. He shook his thoughts away, and set to work.
Jade had actually just finished her patrol for the time being and was about to return home. She was a little tired but she was probably going to answer a few messages regarding some tech problems for work.
Within minutes, a hero showed up. Not Jade. Some other hero, a man. And he, unlike Jade, had no qualms about hurting Killian.
Jade often tried to be a good role model for people when she was in costume. She wasn't afraid to fight but she drew the line at senseless violence and maiming. It was against her morals.
Unfortunately, she actually had to call a couple of her customers to help them with their problems so she would be unable to keep up with the news for a while.
And so the fight went on. Killian, with a power that was less than physical, was at a distinct disadvantage against someone whose power was purely physical.
Sophie was away at her own job, giving Jade plenty of quiet to work. Honestly, Sophie was just as interested in the news though she claimed it was an interest in journalism.
After long minutes of fighting, Killian managed to slip away. He was bleeding, bruised and limping.
Jade sighed, closed her eyes, and rested in her room for a few minutes after dealing with some… marginally difficult customers.
Killian had no clue what the hell to do now.
Killian had no clue what the hell to do now.
The phone rang again. Fortunately it was just Sophie saying that she was going to be a little late coming home.
Killian bit his lip. He couldn't go to the hospital. Not in uniform, and if he went in civilian clothing, there would be too many questions.
Jade didn't question her friends' motive for not coming home right away. This was nothing new for either of them.
Killian finally headed for Jade's apartment, using magic to hide himself from view.
Jade hummed softly to herself as she started tinkering with one of her many side projects.
He knocked at the door, leaning against the wall painfully.
She looked up at the door in surprise. She certainly wasn't expecting someone and to the best of her knowledge, the landlord had no reason to visit. Being a bit more cautious than a normal person, she slowly opened the door.
Killian gave her a weak smile. "Hi."
Jade’s eyes widened as soon as she saw the state Killian was in. ”Get in. Quick.” she instructed quietly, looking around to make sure that no one was around.
Killian ducked inside, limping, his arm curled around his torso in a protective manner.
