Jade hummed softly as she turned into a parking lot. “I think this is it.”
Jade hummed softly as she turned into a parking lot. “I think this is it.”
Killian nodded. "Yeah, it is." He said, opening his eyes.
“Oh, good.” Jade smiled as she parked in front of the arcade.
He got off the bike, smiling a little.
Jade took her helmet off and smiled back.
He kissed her cheek.
She blushed with a light chuckle before quickly returning the gesture.
He smiled at her.
She smiled back as she got off the bike and armed it.
He waited for Max and Alex to arrive.
She leaned back and waited with him.
After another minute or so, a car pulled up and Max and Alex stepped out. "Hey!" Max greeted with a wave.
“Hey!” Jade smiled as she returned the gesture. “Wasn’t expecting to beat you here.”
"Had to change out of my work clothes." Max replied with a laugh, gesturing to his sweater and jeans.
“Ah, that's fair.” she chuckled with him.
"Anyway, let's go inside." Max led the way, hand-in-hand with Alex.
Killian smiled, taking her arm and heading inside.
Jade nodded and walked with Killian, blushing softly as he took her arm.
Killian smiled at her.
Jade smiled sweetly back as they entered the building.
He kissed her cheek lightly.
She blushed a shade darker with a soft smile and leaned a little closer to him.
Max turned to them. "Come on, we'll get some tokens and start playing."
Jade nodded at that. "Sounds like a good plan." she smiled.
Max and Alex led them up to the counter, Max paying for a bunch of tokens and handing about half to Killian and Jade. "Alright, let's go!"
Jade couldn't explain why she felt so giddy as she and Killian received their tokens. Maybe it was just the nostalgic atmosphere of the arcade or the simple feeling she had around Killian that made her feel almost normal. “Which should we do first?” she asked, looking around at the different games available.
Max grinned, looking like a kid in a candy store. "Here, over here!" He said, leading them over to one of the smaller rooms. "Some of my favorite games are in here."
“Alright.” she grinned, eagerly following and a little relieved that she wasn't the only one apparently affected.
Max smiled again, beaming as he led them into the room.
Jade continued to follow, almost dragging Killian though she suspected he was doing it on purpose.
Max gestured to the different machines. "Pick one!" He encouraged.
