Killian tapped his foot against the floor, sighing faintly.

Killian tapped his foot against the floor, sighing faintly.
Jade sighed a little when Sparky remained silent and continued to drive. She was almost home but could already feel the headache building as she clutched the handles tighter.
Killian grabbed his plans, spreading them out on the coffee table to work on them.
Killian grabbed his plans, spreading them out on the coffee table to work on them.
Jade clenched her jaw as she parked and quickly headed to her apartment, trying to avoid running since she didn't want to draw attention to herself. ”Sophie? You home?” she asked, collapsing on the couch.
Killian went over his plans, rubbing his forehead with a hand.
”Just about to leave.” Sophie called out as she walked into the living room. ”So if you were planning on avoiding a walk of shame, you lucked…” she froze when she saw Jade on the couch, holding her head. ”Hey. Jade, are you alright?”
Jade nodded weakly as she heard her roommate speak, keeping her eyes closed and holding back a small whimper.
Killian continued working quietly, moving and turning on some music.
Sophie quickly got a glass of ice water for her roommate and sat on the couch beside her, holding her hand until Jade was able to speak again.
Killian tapped his foot to the music as he worked.
”Thank you.” Jade croaked out as the pain finally subsided. ”Sorry if I made you late.”
”No problem. And don't worry about it.” Sophie said softly, knowing how sensitive Jade was after a migraine. ”We’ll just have to talk about your day with your boyfriend when you're feeling better and I get back.” she added with a smirk.
Killian hummed faintly.
“He’s not… I mean we’ve never said anything about…” Jade stammered before sighing. “It’s complicated.”
Killian kept working and humming.
Killian kept working and humming.
”I’d ask why but I know you won't tell me.” Sophie stood up, shaking her head. ”All I know is that you're crazy about him and if he doesn't like you, he's not worth your time.”
”Sophie… Shut up.” Jade glared. ”He's a great guy. It's just… I sort of knew him for a while and I didn't like him during that time. I didn't hate him, you understand, it's more like he was an annoyance I had to put up with.” she said, rubbing her forehead. ”But now… He’s… different. I'm seeing a whole other side of him… and I’m drawn to it.”
Killian finished off the plan with a flourish, smiling faintly.
”Yeah, well, don't strain yourself trying to figure it all out.” Sophie quipped. ”If he really does like you, just take him off the market before someone else gets to him.”
Jade rolled her eyes and flipped her roommate the bird as she left, laying back down to relax a little more before going to work.
Killian started to hum again, closing his eyes.
Killian started to hum again, closing his eyes.
Jade lay quietly on the couch for a while longer to make sure she didn't have a relapse.
He leaned back on the couch.
She sighed softly and managed to sit back up.
He started to fall asleep.
Slowly getting to her feet, she went to clean herself up a little then headed out to her Den.
He fell asleep on the couch.
Once she arrived at her destination, she spent a couple hours catching up on her paying job before going out on patrol as Brainwave.
(Feel free to time skip whenever you want)
(alright! We were going to skip to Killian getting beat up, right?)
