Melissa gave him a light smile. “Even then we don’t have to. If you think it’ll make you uncomfortable, I can always pull a t-shirt on over top.”

"I-I don't want to stop you from wearing what you like, Mel… I can deal with being a bit uncomfortable if you're happy."

“Lucas, it’s not a big deal. I’d rather have you comfortable than wearing what I want. It’s no big deal.” Melissa insisted with a little smile. “It’s not going to bug me to be modest.”

Lucas nodded a bit, still lightly flushed in the face. "Alright… if you say so, Mel." He laced his fingers with hers.

Melissa kissed his cheek once more, giving his hand a gentle squeeze. "I do, so you won't have to worry about it."

"Thanks, Mel…" Lucas gently returned the kiss and started walking a bit. "It means a lot." He smiled softly.

Melissa smiled a little, keeping her eyes on the costumes. "No problem, Lu. I don't ever want to take you from your comfort zone, if possible."

Lucas nodded a bit, tightening his grip on Melissa's hand. "Thank you… I'll try my best to do the same for you."

Melissa smiled a bit brighter, coming to a stop when she caught sight of what she had mentioned earlier. "Hey- looks like they do have Greek costumes."

"Oh, nice. Anything in our size?" Lucas asked, looking over at the costumes with Melissa.

Melissa pulled one of them off, glancing through what was hung up. "Mm, I think so? In the very back, I think I see an extra small."

Lucas nodded a bit, letting Melissa do the foraging. "I think you're right… I guess we can just take them home to try them on?"

"Well, after paying, of course." Melissa hummed, pulling two extra smalls off the rack. "But yeah. If you're alright doing that."

"Yeah, of course. We're not stealing anything." Lucas laughed softly, sticking close to Melissa's side.

"Of course we're not, Lu." Melissa gently nudged him with her elbow, draping the fabric over her arm. "Anyways, since you've payed for a lot of things lately, I feel it's only fair that it's my turn."

Lucas sighed softly and hesitated before nodding. "Alright, alright… if you insist, darling." He started walking with her to the counter.

"I do, insist. If you're really alright with it, I'd like to pay." Melissa hummed softly, reaching back for her wallet.

Lucas sighed again, running the fingers of his free hand thrift his hair. "Alright, alright… are you sure, though?"

Melissa gave him a soft look, pulling a couple bills from her wallet. "I'm positive, Lu. Don't worry."

Lucas nodded a bit and followed Melissa to the checkout, holding tightly to her hand as he looked around.

Melissa glanced up to him, and slowly tried to pull away. "I need my hand, Lu." She told him softly, setting the costumes down on the counter.

"Sorry…" Lucas let go of Melissa's hand and toyed with his own hands instead while he waited for Melissa.

After she payed, and was handed the bag, she glanced over to him with a little smile. "Ready to head out?"

Lucas nodded a bit and took Melissa's hand once she was done. "Yep. I'm ready to go if you are."

"Mhmm, I'm ready." Melissa smiled softly, starting to lead him out of the store. "Are we headed back home, or did you want to stop somewhere else?"

"Um… I can't really think of anywhere else to go, but I'm happy to go somewhere with you if you'd like." Lucas smiled as well.

"I don't have anywhere. Home sounds like the best plan, to me." Melissa hummed as she continued walking, keeping a slow pace. "Unless you want to go to the park together."

"Sure, if you want to." Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek softly. "But if home sounds best to you, that's perfectly fine with me."

"Mm… I kinda wanna go to the park." Melissa admitted, tucking her hair back behind her ear. "You sure you're alright with that?"

"Yeah, of course. I'm happy to go wherever you want, darling." Lucas smiled softly and gave Melissa's hand a light squeeze.
