Melissa laughed lightly, giving him a soft smile. "I'm sure they were fine. It's a little late now, but if you needed help, you could have asked me."
Melissa laughed lightly, giving him a soft smile. "I'm sure they were fine. It's a little late now, but if you needed help, you could have asked me."
Lucas nodded a bit. "Yeah. Obviously I didn't know that you know how to sew." He laughed softly. "Or I probably would have."
"Mm, true. Though you could ask me literally anything, and even if I couldn't help, I'd find some way to. Trust me, I wouldn't let your needs go unmet." Melissa told him lightly, stopping to kiss him.
Lucas smiled softly and flushed a bit as he returned the kiss. "Thanks, Mel… I just really didn't want to bother you."
Melissa smiled in return, before continuing on through the store. "Well, you can 'bother' me, whenever. Trust me, I won't mind."
"I know, I know… just… my situation was a lot to deal with. I didn't want to put that on your shoulders as well."
“I know… but you know you can always ask me for help now, right?” Melissa asked softly, keeping a slow pace.
"Of course, Mel. And you know the same with me, right?" Lucas asked, looking over at Melissa.
“Mhmm. I know you want to help when you can.” Melissa smiled, leaning over to kiss his cheek.
Lucas nodded a bit and returned the kiss. "Mhmm. I always want to be able to help you if you need me."
Melissa gave him a little smile, before continuing on. “Right…” She nodded a little, seeming to trail off from whatever she was going to say next.
Lucas looked up expectantly. "What were you going to say, darling?" He asked curiously.
Melissa glanced back at him, hesitating before shaking her head. “Nothing, sorry.” She shrugged a bit, waving it off.
Lucas didn't seem convinced, but didn't push it. "Alright… if you say so, Mel." He kept walking, looking at the costumes.
Melissa took in a deep breath, glancing through the costumes. “It looks like these are our sizes.” She replied softly, loosening her hold on his hand.
"What are they?" Lucas asked, looking over at her and coming over to see the costumes that Melissa found.
“Mm, looks like some kind of ancient Egyptians.” Melissa told him lightly, biting the Cleopatra one specifically. “I bet there’s some other costumes in the same size over here.”
Lucas nodded a bit and followed Melissa over to some other costumes. "Keep in mind that it'll probably be kinda chilly on Halloween night."
“Oh, probably. But if we got eskimo costumes, it’ll end up being a million degrees out.” Melissa laughed softly, tucking hair back out of her face.
"Yeah, I wouldn't recommend that." Lucas laughed. "Maybe somewhere in between, yeah?" He looked up at the wall again.
“Sooo, no Eskimo and no bikini model. Got it.” Melissa joked, giving him a teasing smile. “Mm, I can always wear jeans or something under a dress. As long as it’s longer.”
"True." Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek softly. "I don't think I'd be a very good bikini model anyways, to be honest."
“Mm, I dunno. I think you’d be pretty hot.” Melissa snickered, returning the kiss with a little smile. “But if you really think it’s a bad idea…”
Lucas stuck his tongue out playfully. "I don't have boobs, so I don't think I'd look too great." He laughed a bit.
Melissa rolled her eyes, gently pushing on his chest. “Oh whatever. I guess we’ll never know.” She hummed a bit, looking through the costumes once again.
"Guess we won't." Lucas laughed and continued following Melissa. "I don't even have the confidence to not wear a swim shirt. I could never wear a bikini."
Melissa laughed softly, reaching out and taking his hand. “Mm, I’m not sure I could handle you in a bikini.” She admitted with a smile.
"I'm not sure how well I'd handle you in a bikini, and that wouldn't be that unlikely, to be honest."
Melissa laughed softly, turning back to him. “Well, I’m pretty sure I’ve got one at home if you want to find out. But I’m assuming you’d rather not. For now at least.”
Lucas flushed and looked away. "Um… yeah, let's wait on that. I'm sure I'll find out eventually if we end up going to the beach."
