"You mean you can't hold me, while eating ice cream?" Melissa asked with a little smile. "That wouldn't be difficult at all."
"You mean you can't hold me, while eating ice cream?" Melissa asked with a little smile. "That wouldn't be difficult at all."
"Not at all, no." Lucas laughed. "And I don't think that the workers would particularly appreciate it."
"Why would you ever assume that, darling? We're both delightful, I don't see the problem here." Melissa snickered a little, nosing into his shoulder.
Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek, still smiling. "Not sure if you've noticed, but we're kind of 'that couple'. I'm sure some people get annoyed with how lovey dovey we are."
"Mm… but I actually mean my affection. I don't mean to be obnoxious." Melissa started to pout, resting her chin back on his shoulder. "People need to get over themselves. If I want to show affection to you, I should be allowed. I'm not even trying to show off."
"I know, I know…" Lucas gently kissed Melissa again. "I don't find you annoying, but I want to make sure we don't piss off other people too much."
"Mm, but I like youuu~" Melissa whined a bit, pouting further as she leaned up against him. "Why do we have to worry about other people's opinions?"
"I like you too, Mel. And because it's common courtesy." Lucas smiled softly and stopped in front of the ice cream shop.
Sighing lightly, Melissa nodded a bit before sliding off his back. She quickly adjusted her shirt before looking up to him. "I guess that's the polite thing to do."
"Yep. We do like being polite." Lucas kissed Melissa softly and took her hand to lead her inside. "Makes people like us more."
"Mm… yeah…" Melissa huffed lightly, following after him when he started inside. "Even if I don't want to be, sometimes."
Lucas nodded, standing in the short line with Melissa as he looked up at the menu. "What're you going to get?" He asked.
"Not sure. I wanted mint, but now other flavors look appealing." Melissa hummed softly, scanning over the list. "You still getting Lemon Sorbet?"
"Mhmm. Planning on it." Lucas smiled gently as he looked over at Melissa. "You can get whatever you want, though."
Scanning over the flavors, she quickly decided what she wanted. "I might just get Strawberry. It sounds really good right now." Melissa informed him, loosely crossing her arms.
"Alright. Maybe I'll steal a bite if it's good." Lucas smiled softly and kissed Melissa's cheek before ordering his ice cream.
Ordering after him, she gave him a light smile. "If you want to, I wouldn't be opposed to share." Melissa smiled, taking his hand in her own.
Lucas laced his fingers with Melissa's and pulled her aside to wait, smiling in return. They soon received their ice cream and he brought Melissa over to a table.
"Mm, thanks love. You wanna try it?" Melissa asked lightly, before sitting down on one of the chairs she had pulled back. "I thought I'd offer before I started eating it."
"Sure." Lucas got a small spoonful and stuck it in his mouth. "Mm~… yeah, it's nice. I think you'll like it. Want some of mine?" He asked.
"Mm, yeah. I liked it the last time, I don't know why I didn't get it this time." Melissa smiled softly, taking her own little spoonful. Her face lit up a bit when she tasted it. "Yup, just as good."
Lucas smiled brightly and started eating his own ice cream. "Well, yours is really good too. I don't think you'll be disappointed."
"Is that so?" She asked lightly, taking a spoonful of her own. With a delighted smile, Melissa glanced up at him. "Mm… looks like you were right. It is really good.~"
Lucas nodded a bit and kept eating, humming happily to himself. "You said you wanted to go look at Halloween stuff after this, right?"
"I'd like to, yeah." Melissa smiled lightly, continuing to eat her ice cream. "We don't even have to find costumes or anything, it just sounds like fun."
"Sure. It's fine with me." Lucas stuck another spoonful of ice cream in his mouth. "What kind of costume would you be looking for?"
Melissa shrugged, tucking hair back out of her face. "I dunno. I don't have anything specific in mind." She hummed a little.
Lucas nodded a bit. "Mm… maybe we'll figure it out while we're there." He looked around while he ate.
"Do you actually want to dress up this year?" Melissa asked him lightly, resting her chin on her palm with a little amused smile.
"If you want to. I don't really care either way." Lucas shrugged, sticking another spoonful of ice cream in his mouth.
