"It is," Zachary agreed quietly. He opened his eyes, glancing around before looking at Cas.
"I'm so happy you like it here…"

(<33 I think with Cas it's like, "I guess I could see how he's nineteen, but he totally looks around fourteen or younger")
"Mhmm…" Cas smiled softly and rested his head on Zachary's shoulder. He wrapped his legs around the other's waist and pulled himself close.

Zachary wrapped his arms more securely around Cas, rubbing his back a little.
"I love you," he said again softly. And he meant it.

"Mm… love you too…" Cas smiled a bit more brightly and huddled closer to Zachary, seeming to be content for the moment.

Zachary nuzzled the side of Cas's head, smiling in return. At least Cas wasn't completely bored now, and if he got that way… the cave did continue further. There were still surprises left for him.

Cas seemed to be comfortable now, and he wasn't focused on being bored. He didn't know the cave went any further than this, actually. He was usually too focused on the crystals to notice anything else.

Zachary smiled gently. He was glad for this time alone with Cas, away from the torture crazy god and cat at the house. All he wanted was for Cas to be happy.

Cas buried his face in the crook of Zachary's neck, yawning a bit. He clung tightly to the other and fell quiet after a while.

Zachary looked down at Cas, holding him a bit closer when Cas's grip tightened. He smiled softly when Cas fell silent, letting out a quiet hum.

"What else is there to do down here?" Cas asked softly after a while, looking up at Zachary. He kept his head resting on the other's shoulder.

"Well," Zachary started, "The caves do go farther, and there are other gods, but they live very, very far away. It be an entire day's worth of walking to just get there. Then, of course, there's the televison." Zachary chuckled a little.

"Ooh, there's more of the cave?" Cas asked, his eyes wide with curiosity. "I wanna see! Can you take me?"

"Of course I can!" Zachary said with a grin. He stood, still holding Cas before setting him down lightly.
"Not everything is just crystals," he said, leading Cas around the edge of the water. "There's a lot to these caves."

"What else is there?" Cas asked, holding onto Zachary's hand when he was set down. "I've never seen anything here other than the crystals and the water…"

"Well," Zachary explained, "there's a room that's huge, hundreds of feet tall, full of stalactites and stalagmites. Some of them have even connected to form giant pillars." Zachary came to the wall of the cave by the water, showing an opening into another part of the cave.
"There's also a room with a ton of wall paintings."

"Really? That sounds awesome! The things won't fall on us, will they?" He asked, following Zachary through the opening and looking around curiously.

"They won't," Zachary assured. "They're very stable, and the ones that might break if we touch them are very, very far above our heads." He shown the flashlight into the room, revealing hundreds upon hundreds of different kinds of formations and rock types. Some of them were like sheets, the light shining through them. Others seemed like giant mounds, water still dropping down them. And then, the columns. They were massive, too large for even Halm to put this arms around.

"Woah…" Cas looked around the room, his eyes wide with awe. He stuck close to Zachary, lacing his fingers with the other's. "It's so cool in here… and you're sure it's safe?"

"Absolutely positive," Zachary said with a grin. He loved that look on Cas's face. He pointed out some of the wet formations.
"The wetness means they're still growing," Zachary explained quietly.

Cas nodded a bit, still looking around curiously. After a few seconds, he headed over to one of the stalagmites protruding from the floor and rested his small hand against it, humming thoughtfully.

Zachary smiled gently. Cas looked tiny next to the formations around them, but so did Zachary. He stepped over, but a drop of water hot his head. Oh, shit. If that happened to Cas, it would be bad. Zachary looked at Cas a moment.
"You might want to put your hood up," he said quietly, staying calm.

"Why?" Cas asked, looking over at Zachary with his hand still on the stalagmite. A couple drops of water fell onto his head and he yelped, freezing up and starting to tremble. "G-Get it off!" He covered his head with his hands, whimpering quietly.

Zachary quickly made his way over to Cas, wrapping his arms around him securely and keeping his own head over Cas's. He reached up, rubbing the water drops away with his sleeve.
"I've got you," Zachary said quietly, keeping Cas close. "You're okay, you're not going to be hurt." He lifted Cas's hood up, covering his head and completely shielding him from any more water drops.

Cas clung tightly to Zachary, shaking and biting back tears. He buried his face in the other's chest, struggling to keep his breathing even. His heart was racing and he was trying and failing to calm down. He hiccuped a bit, whimpering again.

"I've got you," Zachary said again. He scooped Cas up in his arms, already moving out of the cave.
"You're going to be okay," he said gently, leaning his head close to Cas's. "It'll all be gone soon." He needed to get Cas to Talk. He knew this memory might ruin the caves for Cas, and they couldn't let that happen. He needed somewhere he felt completely safe, and happy.

Cas buried his face in Zachary's chest, still shaking. A couple tears rolled down his cheeks and he bit down hard on his lip. "I-Is it gone…?" He asked shakily.

"It's gone," Zachary said, holding Cas close as he hurried back to the house.
"It's gone, you're okay now." He shifted Cas to one arm so he could reach up to wipe the tears away. He nuzzled Cas's cheek in return, in place of a kiss.
"You're okay now."

Cas nodded weakly and huddled closer to Zachary, hiccuping again. "I d… I d-don't like the water…" He whispered, his voice wavering and breaking. "I-I don't like it…"

"I know," Zachary said gently. "It's okay that you don't, it's okay. You're safe now, though, there's no more water." He finally reached the house, opening the door and bringing Cas inside. Halm looked over, the smile on his lips dying.

"Cas!" Nix jumped out of Halm's arms and ran over. "What happened? Is he hurt? What did you do?" Nix asked frantically, eyeing Zachary suspiciously.
