"Sounds good to me… any plans for when we get back?" He asked, looking up at Halm once they were away from the river.
"Sounds good to me… any plans for when we get back?" He asked, looking up at Halm once they were away from the river.
"I'm not entirely sure. I'm not really good at figuring it things to do with others," Halm admitted. He rubbed Nix's back, making his way between the flowers.
"Maybe we can watch TV in your room or something?" Nix shrugged a bit, clinging tightly to Halm.
"Okay then." Halm kissed the side of Nix's head, holding him securely to himself. He vaguely wondered if something was still wrong.
Nix returned the kiss and relaxed a bit when he couldn't hear the river anymore. His tail swayed a bit beneath him.
Halm smiled at Nix's return kiss. He was getting better. He stepped into the house eventually, glad Nix was relaxing.
Nix yawned a bit and rested his head on Halm's shoulder, purring softly to himself. "What can we watch?" He asked.
"Well, we could always check the news to see what they have to say of the murder." Halm picked up the television, retreating to the bedroom with it.
"Sure, sounds good to me." Nix flopped down on the bed when Halm let go of him, sighing softly to himself.
Halm hooked the television up, then sat down with Nix, one arm going around him as Halm turned on the television and flicked it to the news.
Nix watched the screen attentively, perking up when the news anchor started talking about the murder again. "Ooh, still haven't solved it, have they? Not surprised."
"I wanna try a bigger puzzle!" Cas insisted, grinning brightly up at Zachary. "Can we go grab one?" He asked.
"Sure! I'm thinking a 75 piece would work good for you." He stood, offering his hand to Cas with a grin.
"I'd be more concerned if they had. I don't want anyone being blamed for what we did." Halm laughed lightly, kissing Nix's cheek.
"But no one will ever find out what we did."
Cas accepted Zachary's hand and stood up with him, wandering over to Halm's room and pausing at the door when he heard talking.
"Looks like someone saw us. They've got the police sketches." Nix watched curiously. "Oh, come on! That looks nothing like me!"
"Well, they didn't even try to draw me. What a shame." Halm laughed lightly.
"At least the body was found."
Zachary's mouth opened as if to gasp, but no sound came out. He put his arms a bit more securely around Cas. Oh shit oh shit ohshit.
Cas paled, clinging tightly to Zachary's hand. Holy shit. They killed someone. He hesitated, considering whether or not he should open the door, but eventually decided that he didn't feel safe to do so.
Nix laughed a bit as well. "Yeah. Serves him right for what he did to Cas, hmm? I remember him. He was an asshole and he deserved every second of that."
Zachary pulled Cas close, slowly bringing him away from the door. Oh shit. This wasn't good at all. They'd killed someone who had hurt Cas? While he approved of the rain, he didn't approve of actuallydoing it.
"Good. Too bad I didn't prepare him the right way for you. Oh well." Halm kissed Nix's forehead.
"I'll do it better next time. If there ever is one."
Cas's eyes stung with tears as he huddled closer to Zachary, noticeably trembling. Nix ate someone??
"Mhmm~" Nix purred softly and clumsily returned the kiss. "Just boiling wasn't enough, clearly. We need some seasoning or something."
Zachary picked Cas up, holding him tightly to his chest as he made his way back to Cas's bedroom.
"I've got you," he said quietly. What do you even say in a situation like this? Sorry they murdered your abuser??
"Something, yeah." Halm gave a small grin, rubbing nice back and lightly scratching him. "I've got a few ideas now that we have some ideas what they're like."
Cas buried his face in Zachary's shoulder, clinging tightly to him as he trembled. Even though his exes were assholes, he never actually wanted them to die. He would never wish death upon anyone.
"Mhmm~… is there any way to make them taste more meaty?" Nix asked Halm. "You know how much I like meat."
Zachary sat down on the bed with Cas. He pulled Cas so close to himself, slowly running his fingers through Cas's hair gently.
"I've got you, I… You're safe, they won't be able to hurt you."
"What if I cooked some meat, then used the juices and runoff from the meat to cook the souls…" Halm tapped his chin lightly as he thought.
"W-Why would they kill someone…?" Cas asked weakly, keeping his face hidden. "And… and it sounds like Nix ate them, too… it makes me sick thinking about it…"
"Ooh, that's an idea. I could eat them together, maybe?" Nix hummed thoughtfully.
"They must have thought it was revenge," Zachary said gently. He was sickened too. He hated it. "I'm so sorry they did this…"
"Sure! I'm do that next time then. I'm sure it'll be much better." He grinned lightly.
"I guess so…" Cas exhaled shakily, clutching at Zachary's shirt. A couple tears rolled down his cheeks and he started trembling harder.
Nix nodded, grinning as well. "Sounds good to me! We just have to make sure Cas doesn't find out."
Zachary held Cas tightly to himself.
"I've got you. I… I've got you."
"Yeah…" Halm trailed off. Cas, it seemed to him, was in distress. What had happened? He grew concerned, about to get up and go check on him.
Cas coughed a bit, trying to clear his mind. He didn't want to think about this in the slightest.
"Where are you going?" Nix asked, confused. "Should… should I just stay here? I can wait for you to come back…"
"I… Something is up with Cas. I think it would be best for you to come with me…" He stood, offering his arm to Nix to pick him up. He really didn't like this.
"What do you mean something is up with Cas?" Nix asked warily, taking Halm's arm as he pulled himself into the other's grasp.
"I just… I can feel that he's in distress. If Zachary did something to him…" Halm picked Nix up with ease, heading out the door and to the bedroom. He knocked, tense.
"There'll be hell to pay…" Nix sighed, huddling close to Halm.
Cas looked up a bit when there was a knock on the door and cowered a bit, clinging tightly to Zachary.
"I…" Zachary puttered off. He held Cas tightly to himself, turning so he was between the door and Cas.
"What's wrong?" Halm demanded. He reached for the handle, ready to just burst in.
