"And I will force feed you if necessary." Nix picked up the sandwich, keeping his eyes on Cas, who whined softly in protest.
"Please, Cas. At least try to nibble at it." Halm would prefer not to force feed Cas, but he understood Nix's point. Halm was trying to be a bit gentler.
(to answer your question, Caustic: …no, slacking off, whether it is real or imagined, is not tolerated by Mother. She is, and I will say this until I die, a bitch)
(That wasn't my question, but okay)
Cas reluctantly held the sandwich and nibbled at it absently. "I'm not hungry…" He repeated again.
(nah I kinda meant you asked if there were consequences, right? That's what I meant. Mother gives consequences and she's a bitch)
(No, I mean that I wasn't the one who asked. I know that already)
(OH woops, sorry!)
(Yeah.. I was the one who asked)
Halm sighed a little, putting his hand on top of Cas's head.
"Please, Cas," he said gently, "just a little bit more."
"Mmmmmm…" Cas whined in protest, huddling closer to Nix so he couldn't be forced to eat. "Still not hungry…"
"The food will help you feel better," Halm said. "Your body needs all the strength it can get." Halm held the plate in one hand, glancing at Nix.
"B-But I don't wanna throw up…" Cas replied weakly. Nix looked down at him, seeming concerned. "Are you nauseous?" Cas nodded a bit and buried his face in Nix's chest.
Halm looked concerned. He had Cas set the sandwich down.
"How long has it been like this?"
"Since I woke up…" Nix gently ran his fingers through Cas's hair, trying to get him to calm down. "I-I don't wanna throw up…"
"Alright then." Halm set the plate aside. "Do you want to take some medicine?" Halm moved a bit closer, trying to figure out what was wrong with Cas.
"Do you have anti nausea medicine? I dunno if I'd be able to keep it down, to be honest…" Cas sighed softly. "Well, it's worth a try, right?" Nix asked. "We don't want you to be feeling poorly."
Halm nodded.
"I'll be back," he said quietly. He stood up, heading to the bathroom. He came out a moment later, with some Peto Bismol.
"Here," he said gently. "Take this."
Cas hesitated before sticking the medicine in his mouth and huddling up against Nix again. Nix sighed, rubbing Cas's back gently.
Halm sat down, gently putting his arm around both men. Why was all of this happening? He just wanted Cas and Nix to be okay.
"I'm sorry you feel like this," he said gently to Cas.
"Mmmmnnn…" Cas whined. Nix continued rubbing his back and trying to soothe him. "It's probably because of the trauma from being forced back into his body…" Nix said softly.
Halm nodded.
"It can cause a lot of complications…" Cas could even be potentially rejected by the body. That would be extremely traumatic for Cas, Halm knew.
"There's something I could do, but it could be dangerous."
"What is it…?" Nix asked tentatively, holding Cas closer to himself protectively. He didn't like the idea of Cas being in danger again.
"Well… I can speed up the healing process. It'll be just like what would happen if we just let Cas recover normally. That a again means if he was going to go through something bad, it'd go through that too." Halm lightly put his hand on Cas's forehead.
"Should we move him to the bathroom, then? Because if that's the case, he's likely to throw up." "I don't wanna throw up…" Cas whined.
"If you throw up when I do this you would throw up anyway," Halm said gently. He gently wrapped his arms around both Cas and Nix, figuring Nix wanted to come make sure Cas was alright. He took them off the bed, carrying them to the bathroom.
Cas whimpered quietly and reluctantly positioned himself in front of the toilet in case he threw up. Nix stuck close to him, keeping his eyes on Halm for now.
Halm sighed softly, kneeling down at Cas's side. He held his hands over Cas, eyes half closed. They started to glow a little, the same red as his horns. It had started. He was prepared to stop at anytime, just in case.
Cas started shaking violently and coughed a few times. Nix held onto his hand as he gagged and soon vomited. "Shh… you're gonna be alright. You're okay." Nix soothed quietly. Cas coughed a few more times, not really believing him at the moment.
Halm watched Cas carefully. If Cas started convulsing, or any other bad signs, he would stop.
"Let me know when you're feeling better," Halm mumbled gently. If he kept doing this for too long, Cas would age.
