"I love you…" Melissa whispered, holding him just as tightly. "I love you a lot."
"I love you…" Melissa whispered, holding him just as tightly. "I love you a lot."
"I love you too, Mel." Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek before hiding his red face again.
Letting a soft smile settle, she soaked in the moment before letting out a soft sigh. "I'm sorry for flustering you, again."
"It's okay… it was bound to happen several times today anyway." Lucas smiled softly and pulled away, still a bit flushed.
Nodding a little, she pulled him close once more for another hug. "I just… I really do think you're special."
"I'm not really sure why, but I'm happy you feel that way, Mel. Definitely encouraging to know you care."
"Well, I'm happy to hear that. Because I wouldn't lie to you, about something like that." Melissa whispered, standing on her toes to kiss his forehead.
Lucas smiled softly and returned the kiss. "I love you, Melissa."
Glancing up, she gazed at him while she smiled. "And I love you, Lucas."
"Wanna go for a walk or sit in the tree or something?" He asked gently, taking Melissa's hand in his own.
"Mm… well…" Melissa paused, thinking over her immediate thought. "Honestly, I just want to be close to you. I don't care what we do."
"Alright. Let's just sit beside the tree, then." Lucas led Melissa over to the willow and sat down.
Sitting down across from him, she kept up a soft smile. "Sounds like a good plan to me." Melissa hummed a little, still holding on to his hand.
Lucas looked around the clearing, smiling softly and steadily relaxing. "I really love it here…" He murmured.
Melissa smiled, not saying a word. She was too focused on him to really pay attention.
Lucas lay his head back against the trunk of the willow, sighing happily. "When do we need to get back?" He asked.
"I'm not sure…" Melissa replied softly, pulling her phone out to check the time. Giving everyone at the house an extra hour, would probably be best. "In an hour or so, I guess."
Lucas nodded. "Alright, sounds good…" He picked a flower delicately from beside himself and held it out to Melissa, smiling.
When he held the flower out to her, her smile brightened a little bit. "You're so cute…" Melissa hummed, taking the flower and tucking it behind her ear.
"No you." Lucas stuck his tongue out playfully and grinned. "Looking stunning as always, darling~"
Laughing softly, she adjusted her position so she was next to him. "Mm, thank you, handsome." Melissa hummed as she settled herself.
"You're very welcome~" Lucas purred, kissing Melissa's cheek. He rested his head on Melissa's shoulder, sighing happily.
Melissa smiled lightly, resting her head on his. "Can I ask you something?" She asked in a gentle tone, taking his hand in her own.
"Sure, Melissa. What is it?" Lucas asked, looking up at Melissa with a soft smile.
"Why am I so happy around you? Why do I feel so special and important when I see you?" Melissa asked softly, still smiling.
"Well… I-I dunno. That might be a better question for yourself, Mel." Lucas kissed Melissa softly. "I try my best to let you know how much you mean to me."
"Well, you do a spectacular job at it. I feel really special when I'm with you… I just don't understand how one person can make me feel like this. Even when I was younger." Melissa whispered, kissing him back.
Lucas smiled gently. "I don't exactly know the reason, but I'm glad I'm able to help, Mel."
Melissa smiled back, before resting her head on his shoulder. "You really do… I don't understand why I got so lucky."
"Mm… I'm the lucky one, Mel." Lucas rested his head against Melissa's, humming contentedly to himself.
