Laura nodded, glancing at the watch on her wrist. "Well, I should probably let you two spend the rest of your lunch together." She hummed, getting up from the table. "I'll see you two later." She hummed, starting to head off.
"Bye, Laura…" Lucas sighed softly and waved to her as she left. "Why the hell did I agree to this?" He groaned when Laura was out of earshot.
Melissa looked over at him with a light smile. "I dunno. But I can always tell her if you don't feel like sharing. She'll understand."
"No, no… I'm committed now, and I think I can do it.. " Lucas sighed softly.
"You really don't have to." Melissa whispered, tipping his chin up. "I don't want you to feel pressured."
"I've already told her some… she deserves the full story and she should hear it from me…"
Sighing softly, Melissa leaned in and kissed his forehead. "Well, I won't argue with you if you're sure."
Lucas nodded a bit and returned the kiss. "You wanna eat some of the sandwich, Mel? Lunch is almost over, I think…"
"I mean, not really… but I should." Melissa sighed, resting her head on his shoulder. "Shouldn't I?"
"Yes, you should, and I'd feel a little better if you did." Lucas smiled weakly.
Nodding a bit, she sat up to eat her sandwich. "Just know I'm doing this for your sake, more than mine." Melissa joked, smiling back at him.
"I don't care why you're doing it as long as it's happening." Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek.
"Well, that's true." Melissa hummed, leaning in to his kiss. "I mean, it's better than me not."
"Mhmm. I love you~" Lucas purred. "Soooooo much."
Melissa felt a flush creep up on her face, and she glanced over to him with a light smile. "I love you too, goofball."
Lucas stuck his tongue out playfully and rested his head on Melissa's shoulder. "How is it?"
Smiling softly, she gently leaned in to him. "Not bad for cafeteria food."
"That's good… I like to see you eating, Mel. Lunch is almost over, though."
"I know- but I can't eat that fast." Melissa mumbled, sighing weakly. "I can save the rest for later."
"Alright, alright." Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek softly.
Wrapping up the other half, she started to pull up off the bench. "You can't walk me to class, can you?"
"I can if we leave now." Lucas smiled softly and stood up with Melissa.
"Mm, you sure you won't be late?" Melissa hummed, taking his hand and wrapping it around her waist.
"Nah, not if we're quick…" Lucas smiled and pulled Melissa close as they walked.
Resting her head on his shoulder, she sighed softly. "Well, then we'll have to be. I don't want you getting in trouble."
"I'll be fine, Mel." Lucas led Melissa out of the lunchroom. "Where's your class?" He asked.
"It's room 122. Down that way." She whispered, pointing down the hall the direction she needed to go. "Where's yours?"
"Um… it's kinda close to there, I think." Lucas shrugged. He headed the direction Melissa was pointing.
Nodding a bit, she dropped her arm and looked up at him. "Honestly, I love you so much…"
"Love you too, Mel." Lucas kissed Melissa softly and smiled.
