He shook his head slightly. "It's…I…" he closed his eyes.
He shook his head slightly. "It's…I…" he closed his eyes.
She leaned towards him and kissed his cheek. ”You deserve love as much as everybody else. Maybe more so because of… how you grew up.”
He shook his head a little bit. "No, my…my dad would lose his temper at…at me or my mom and then afterwards he'd say he was sorry, he hadn't meant to, and that he "loved us" and he wouldn't do it again. And my mom forgave him every time, and then…" he shook his head again.
She nodded, listening closely. ”Then she disappeared?” she asked softly.
He nodded a little, hands fisting for just a moment.
She wrapped her arms around him. ”It’s ok.” she murmured gently. ”It’s okay to be angry about that. You don't have to hold it in with me.”
He let out a faint breath. "I-I just…don't want to be like him."
“You’re not like him and I doubt you ever will be.” she told him.
He shrugged his shoulders slightly, not looking at her.
She gently cupped his face and angled him to look back at her. ”You are not your father. You are not a bad person.” she reiterated.
He bit his lip slightly.
She looked at him, meaning every word she told him.
He shrugged his shoulders, shaking his head.
She pulled him close and kissed him.
He kissed her back slowly.
She continued to kiss him, wanting to help him feel, at least, a little better.
He kept kissing her back.
”Whether or not you think you deserve it, I do love you, Killian.” she whispered.
He shrugged his shoulders a little bit.
She sighed, shaking her head a little at his shrug before chuckling softly and nuzzling into him. ”Stubborn. I’ll find a way to convince you one day.” she promised.
He laughed faintly. "You can try."
”I will.” she smirked lightly.
He shook his head, smiling faintly.
She smiled softly and kissed his cheek.
He smiled back, holding her close.
She sighed softly at being held and leaned against him.
He leaned his head on hers.
”Killian?” she asked softly.
"What?" he asked softly.
”I’m sorry for this. Sometimes I'm just too curious but… do you remember your mother?” she queried gently.
