"Yeah… but still, I can't lose you to a child." Melissa mumbled, hugging him tightly before burying her face in to his shoulder. "That would be humiliatingly tragic."
"Yeah… but still, I can't lose you to a child." Melissa mumbled, hugging him tightly before burying her face in to his shoulder. "That would be humiliatingly tragic."
"You're not going to lose me to a child, Mel." Lucas kissed the top of Melissa's head and held her close. "I promise."
Tipping her head to the side, she smiled softly up at him. "Does that apply to other, older girls too?"
"Yes, of course. I plan on sticking around for quite a while, you know. You can't get rid of me that easily." He laughed a bit.
“Thank god. I don’t really want to lose you.” Melissa mumbled, burying her face further in to his shoulder. “That would really suck…”
"And I don't want to lose you, Mel. I don't know where I'd be without you." Lucas hugged Melissa a bit tighter.
"That's nice to know… I love you a lot." Melissa chirred, kissing his cheek. "I really like getting to be around you."
"I love you too, Mel. And I cherish every moment I spend with you." Lucas smiled softly and returned the kiss.
Her own soft smile pulled up on his lips, and she rested her chin on his shoulder. "I love that you love me…"
"Mmm… why wouldn't I, darling?" Lucas gently ran his fingers through Melissa's hair and held her close.
"I don't have any specific reasons. Just stating facts." Melissa whispered, relaxing in to his arms.
Lucas nodded, continuing to pet Melissa. He liked it a lot, so he figured it would feel nice for her too. "Let me know if you want me to stop."
"Mmm… no need to stop. This is quite enjoyable." Melissa whispered, falling quiet. She was relaxed, and really did enjoy the gentle gesture. "I see why you like it."
Lucas smiled softly. "My hair is super sensitive, so it feels really nice for me." He kept petting her.
"I can tell… you're always so tender when I do it." She hummed, kissing his lower cheek.
Lucas flushed lightly and nodded. "It just feels like I'm melting or something… just wanna curl up and sleep."
"I would be happy to let you fall asleep. If we didn't have to leave soon, that is." Melissa hummed, studying his flushed face.
"I know, I know… it still feels really good, though. It was always a nervous habit of mine to help calm me down, you know? Just running my fingers through my own hair, that is."
Sitting up slowly, she nodded with a soft smile. "Yeah, that makes sense… I like getting to pet you."
"I rather enjoy it as well, darling." Lucas watched Melissa sit up curiously. "Going somewhere?" He asked.
Giving him an odd look, she realized he was referring to her pulling back. "Oh, no. I just like getting to see your face."
Lucas flushed harder. "Um… any particular reason why you wanna see my face, darling?" He asked softly.
Shrugging just a bit, Melissa gave him a soft smile. "I just think you have a nice face… I guess."
Lucas was rather red by now and he whined softly. "Mel…" He whined, hiding his face in his hands.
Melissa pouted just a bit, tipping her head down. "Sorry… I keep forgetting." She mumbled, running her hand over the soft grass.
Lucas peered at Melissa through the gaps in his fingers, still whining quietly and pouting. "Sorry, sorry…"
"I'm sorry. You don't need to be. It's not something you can control, Lu." Melissa mumbled, burying her fingers into the grass.
Lucas forced himself to lower his hands, exposing his red face. "I'm bad at accepting compliments…"
Melissa shrugged a bit, glancing up at him with a soft smile. "I know that. Like I said, you can't really change that."
Lucas nodded. "I know, I know… but still. Sorry you can't compliment me without me bitching about it."
