(It's ok. Good night.)
Jade actually laughed with him, nodding. ”Yeah. I should try to think of something… Course, making something practical and functional will be a bit of a challenge.” she smiled as she walked out, fully in costume minus her helmet.
Killian smiled. "Mhm." he agreed with a soft smile. "Good luck."
”Thank you, Killian… for everything.” Jade smiled softly back, a faint blush on her face. ”I don't know if I'll be able to come right back after this mission but I’ll at least call you.” she promised walking over to him. She quickly kissed his cheek and headed to the door as she slipped on her helmet.
Killian nodded. "You're welcome." he replied, smiling softly at her. "Please do call me."
“I will.” Jade promised, giving him a small wave before heading out and running to her bike. With a quick start of the engine, she sped off to deal with… his father.
Killian watched her go with a faint, soft little smile on his face.
Jade bit her lip as she drove to the reported area. She didn't really know if she wanted to find this guy or not. Obviously, he needed to be arrested but… a part of her felt it might be easier to let the police take care of him. If she found him, what would happen? As far as she could tell the man had no super abilities so it shouldn't be a problem.
(do you want me to narrate Killian's father?)
(Would you mind? Please.)
(alright!)
Henry Blackwood was standing in the streets, thinking. He was sure that his son lived somewhere around here, but he couldn't very well go knocking on doors to find out.
Jade stopped her bike when she saw the man in the middle of the road. Her heart racing when she recognized him as the criminal she had been looking for. ”Henry Blackwood. Stay where you are.” she instructed firmly, sounding much more confident that she felt.
Henry looked up, and sighed. "Look, much as I'd love to stay and…chat," his eyes roved around her body in a way that spoke volumes about his character, "I don't have the time."
”Well, make time.” Jade almost growled, her skin crawling at the way he looked at her. ”Because once this ”talk” is done, you still have a life sentence waiting for you.” she told him as she got off her bike and marched over to him.
He stepped away, shaking his head. "I don't feel like making time. I have too many important things to do."
”No. You don't.” Jade told him flatly, making a subtle gesture with her wrist.
Her bike responded to the signal and fired a bola at Henry, aimed to wrap around his legs and knock him off balance.
"I do-!" he broke off, falling when the bola hit him, but quickly began to untangle himself.
Jade breathed softly, almost relieved that things had gone smoother than she had thought. She quickly walked over to the man and grabbed his wrist so she could cuff him as she sent a message to the police so they could pick him up.
Henry pulled away, narrowing his eyes at her. "Let go of me, bitch." he growled. Closer, his resemblance to Killian was easily seen. Dark hair, the same lean build, the same nose.
Behind her visor, Jade glared at him and grabbed his wrist a little tighter than necessary around before finally snapping the cuff closed. ”Shut up.” she warned harshly. ”Or do I need to tell you your Miranda rights before the police show up?”
"You ain't a cop, so nothing you say can really be used in court. Not unless you want your identity out there, and I don't think that's something you want."
”No, I’m not a cop.” she agreed as she fastened the other cuff on him. ”But, since you've been in jail, I guess you haven't been keeping up with the news. Superheroes have a special relationship with the legal system. Plus…” she tapped the side of her visor. ”I record everything I see and is said.”
"Look, I'm just looking for my son." Henry retorted.
”I doubt he wants to see you.” she almost scoffed.
"Oh? And how would you know that?" Henry challenged, arching an eyebrow. "Do you know him?"
”When you escaped from prison, I did my research on a majority of you. So I know what you did to him.” Jade said as an explanation for his first question, completely ignoring the second. ”If I had a father like you, I wouldn't want to see you ever again either.”
"Hm. I was just disciplining him. Never went too far." Henry snorted, rolling his eyes.
Jade bit her tongue to keep from calling that excuse for the bullshit that it was. ”And what of your wife? Your son’s mother?” she inquired coldly. ”Police report said she’s missing… but I don't believe that.”
"She left. Didn't want to come back." He replied easily. "I didn't make her." He shrugged a shoulder.
”If that's true, which I don't believe it is, I don't blame her for that.” she said, standing over him. ”Only thing I’d regret if I was her, is leaving the boy with you.” Her mask betrayed no emotion but her glare darkened the longer she looked at him.
Henry shrugged again. "I was a better parent than that bitch ever would have been. I made sure my kid would grow up strong enough to take everything thrown at him."
