He opened his eyes again.
He opened his eyes again.
She pulled out her phone to text Sophie.
He kept watching the movie.
She glanced back at her phone when it gave a little alert that Sophie had replied. ”Sophie sends her sympathies that you’re sick.” she told him, not relaying the second half of the message. That part was just typically of her roommate and caused Jade to blush.
He nodded a little bit. "Mmph. Tell her thanks." he replied, looking over at her.
”Sure.” She nodded as she typed up the message, still a little red-faced from the last text.
He ran a hand through his hair. "Everything all right?"
”Yeah. Just Sophie being annoying again.” she assured him.
"Alright." he replied, yawning softly.
She let out a slow breath to calm down and smiled at him.
He smiled back at her.
”You’re looking a little better.” she commented.
"Thanks." he replied softly.
She hummed with a smile and nodded, placing her hand against his forehead. ”How do you feel?”
He shrugged a little. "I don't know."
”Hmmm… You still feel a little warm to me.” she said, letting her hand drop back to her side.
He nodded slightly. "Okay."
She raised a brow with a little chuckle. ”I was half expecting you to make a joke about how you’re always hot.” she admitted.
He laughed, lips curling in a faint smile. "Ah. Well."
”You must still be out of it.” she surmised. It was a pretty obvious line…
"Yeah. Sorry."
”It’s ok.” she smiled softly. ”Neither of us know how long you’re going to be sick for and you’ve probably only been sick for a few hours. It takes time to recover from anything.”
He nodded a little bit, closing his eyes for a moment.
She let out a soft breath and stood up, stretching a little. ”I’ll be right back.” she told him before heading to the kitchen.
He nodded again, leaning against the arm of the couch.
Jade sighed as she grabbed some water for herself. She really wasn't used to just sitting around this long, not doing anything… Well, that wasn't entirely true. She was doing something, being here for Killian when he was sick. She wanted to help him somehow. But there was only so much that she could do for this.
Killian kept laying stretched on the couch, his head resting on the arm of the couch.
Jade refilled her cup and grabbed another for Killian before heading back into the living room.
Killian's eyes were only half open.
Jade smiled at him and set his glass on the table next to him before taking her seat.
