She sighed " he gave me one call and by mistake I called Henry and he didn't answer"

”Oh, darling.” he sighed as well, though for a different reason. He admittedly was a little hurt that she called Henry first but he wouldn't hold it against her. ”I am so sorry.”

" i would've called you but I thought you were mad at me for what I did" she said

”I…” he started then shook his head. ”I was never mad at you. I was confused about… everything, I guess. And I won't say that our last conversation didn't hurt but I wasn't mad.” he told her. ”I would have been there. I would have brought you home sooner.”

" I couldn't put you in danger like that ever it was the same basement you were when they took you" she said

Lysander did shudder a little at the mention of that particular basement. ”I don't care about when you were, I still would have come.” he said honestly.

Laura-Beth quietly pushed her parents bedroom door open.

Betty sighed " hey sweetie" she said

”Mama!” Laura-Beth smiled, running to the bed.

”How did you get out of bed, baby girl?” Lysander chuckled, helping the little girl onto the bed.

Betty t tucked a strand of hair behind your ear

Laura-Beth ignored her father's question and hugged her mama. ”No bad dreams, mama.” she smiled.

She smiled " I'm glad" she said with a sigh

”Me too.” Lysander smiled at both his girls. ”How about you, darling? Did you sleep well?” he asked.

She looked up at him with a shake of the head

He sighed a little and gave an understanding nod. ”I’m sorry, love.” he said, kissing her forehead.

She smiled pulling Laurabeth into her lap

Laura-Beth giggled at her mother and held her arm.

Lysander smiled gently and wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

"can you give me a warm washcloth for my eye?"ask your husband

Lysander raised a brow at the request but nodded. ”Of course.” he said kissing her once more before getting up.

She kissed her daughter's head

Laura-Beth smiled at the kiss and looked up at her mother, giving her a kiss on the cheek.
