”What’s that look for?” he asked, a little confused.

"You said you needed to talk so talk" she said

”I want to know why you were crying just now.” he said as he sat down on the floor of the car in the open door, gesturing for her to sit with him.

she shook her head tying her crystal around her neck

”Please.” he amended gently. ”I know me and Henry said… a few things that upset you. Then you spend the whole day with Evan, and when I finally get to see you again, you're crying… Please. What's wrong?”

"You Hurt me alot all of you You just keep screwing me over Over and Over again and you don't even take it to consideration you don't think before you open your mouths especially you and henry" she said.

He sighed and nodded a little. ”I know I have and I am very sorry about that. I never mean to… I don't want to do that to you.” he apologized.

"and I know I hurt you By being with Evan and kissing Evan but It's Non-stop" she said.

He felt a little relief when she admitted that she understood he was hurt by her time with Evan but looked confused by her last comment. ”What do you mean ”non-stop”?”

"LIsten You Have to figure out how to get your act together or we get a divorce" she said.

He looked like he had just been slapped when she said that. ”Wh-what act? I mean, I know I've hurt you but I… ” he trailed off, still dazed and confused by the threat.

"Iv'e been hurt all my life No more ly not anymore" she said

”I don't want to hurt you.” he said gently.

"It doesn't mattter!" she snapped her eyes turning yellow, her fangs showing like they always did and her crystal glowing blue and her nose started bleeding and she quickly wiped it on the back of her hand

”I’m not saying that to dismiss the fact that I have hurt you. I know I have. I know I screwed up.” He said standing up. ”But I can't do this all on my own. I need you to tell me when something is bothering you… to tell me what's wrong when you're upset so I can fix it.”

"You should know" she said starting to walk away

”I may have a lot of abilities but mind-reading isn't one of them.” he told her. ”I knew some of what I've done wrong before but right now I'm at a bit of a loss.” he paused for a moment. ”Is this because of the play? Because I said I would be there.”

"I don't care If you show up I hope you don't ' she said.

He groaned softly. ”See. That’s what I was talking about. Something is clearly bothering you but you won't tell me what.” he pointed out. ”The last thing we talked about before you abandoned us in this festival was how me and Henry would have to miss one song in your play because if we hear the big G-word too many times we will literally die.”

"The Whole FReaking play says that word Non-stop" she said.

He froze briefly at that revelation. ”Oh… I… I didn't know that. I read the book and skipped over that word when it came up then but I only know about the movie. I never saw it and before I knew you I didn't even know it was a play.” he explained calmly. ”I still want to support you in this but…” he sighed, trying to think of a way around this problem.

"No Don't Go! " she sighed "Your not truly family until you miss something huge to me" she said

”That’s not how a family works, love.” he said, walking up to her. ”Family… You’re supposed to do everything you can for each other… put your needs second to theirs. Not miss out on something that is clearly important.”

"Your not going I don't want you to" she said.

”I… I want to be there to support you.” he assured her, gently placing his hand on her shoulder. ”I just don't know how.”

"I'll have Evan It will be enough" she said

His breath hitched in his throat as she said that. ”I’m sorry. I don't want to miss this.” he told her, once again cursing himself for what he was. Something he hadn't done since he realized how much he loved Betty.

"I'll be fine. . . I always am"

He gave her a gentle look, a little doubtful of her assurance when he considered her past.
