She quickly stood up in walked over to the recliner on the side of the room and grab the hoodie that was hanging out the back slipping it on technically was brads hoodie

"Is it cuddle time now, cutie?" He asked her with a bright smile, patting the spot next to him. "Because I'm ready to just hold you close, and love on you."

Caroline scooted over to sit right next to him

Resting his head on top of hers, the wave finally crashed, causing him to get drowsy once more. "How was… was your day today?" He asked weakly, shaking his head to stay awake.

" my boyfriend was tortured and I was shot"

"I mean earlier in the day." He mumbled, pressing his lips to the side of her head. "I barely remember what I did today."

" you should rest" she said

"If you aren't, I won't." Brad nodded, trying to force himself to stay awake. It didn't seem fair to let him sleep, knowing she wasn't going to. "You can't change my mind, so don't try."

"I'll go to sleep with you just get some sleep" she said

"You need to fall asleep first. I don't trust you'll actually go to sleep if I nod off." He whispered, pulling her closer to his chest. "You do things like that too often."

She nodded " ok" she said and closed her eyes

Rubbing her uninjured shoulder, he hummed softly under his breath. Brad didn't sing to anyone, only hummed. He was rather embarrassed to sing, as he thought he sounded quite terrible.

The soothing motion and the humming quickly helped Caroline fall asleep

When he felt her relax fully in his arms, he smiled softly and scooped her up. Carrying her to her bed, he tucked her in gently, resting a kiss on her temple. "Night princess." He whispered, before walking back out and falling onto the couch. In a matter of minutes, he was asleep.

Caroline woke up as Soon as Brad left and tiptoed downstairs towards the door

Brad was stretched out on the couch, lightly sleeping like usual. He had never been the best sleeper, so now was no exception. He barely moved, breathing subtly in and out.

She. Opened the door it making a creaking noise

Blinking back awake, he squinted to see who was up. "B-Babe?" He asked with a small yawn. Pushing himself up into a sitting position, he looked over to her at the door. "Where are you going?"

" I can't sleep I'm going to go for a run" she said

"You… you were just asleep though." He mumbled, rubbing his eyes. "And it's 3 o'clock in the morning, don't you think that's a little dangerous?"

She shrugged " in this town what's not dangerous" she said

"My point made. Do you really think running before you go to sleep is going to help?" Brad asked her softly, getting up from the couch.

" I wish I could run forever away from it all never stopping never looking back" she said

"From… from everything?" He asked her, chewing on his lower lip. "Do you need to vent about something?"

She shook her head " no no just…just go back to sleep"

"I won't be able to Caro, and I can tell something is wrong. Are you still upset with me?" He asked softly, walking up to her.

She softly cupped his cheeks "no I'm not of course I'm not " she said

"Then what's wrong baby?" He asked her soothingly, bringing her close by the waist. "I want to make it better, if I can. If not, just tell me to stop." He whispered, running his fingers through her hair.

" I'm just worried about everything you my family Collins your family the gang" she said

"Can I help fix that?" Brad asked her softly, hands resting on her hips. "Or am I unable to do anything about it? Because I hate feeling useless to you." He had just admitted something, he would have never admitted to anyone else before. "I love you a lot, and you're worrying me."
