He nodded. "Alright."
He nodded. "Alright."
Jade smiled a little bit and finally, hesitantly, let go of his hands. ”Again, sorry for bothering you so late.”
He shrugged, rubbing the back of his neck. "Jade, don't worry about it. It's fine."
”Alright.” She nodded softly. ”Well, we should probably try to get a little sleep.” she almost blushed when she heard how that sounded. ”Would it be ok if I took the couch again?”
He nodded, mouth twitching in the faintest smirk. "Yeah, you can take the couch, that's fine."
”Thank you.” Jade nodded, taking a shy step back. ”Well, good night.” she said a little awkwardly.
Killian nodded. "Yeah. You want blankets, pillows?"
Jade blushed a little as she realized she had forgotten that. ”Yes, that would be nice. Thank you .” she nodded, a little embarrassed.
Killian smiled. He grabbed some blankets and a pillow, holding them out to her.
”Thank you.” She said gratefully as she accepted them. Without thinking about it, she quickly kissed his cheek before pulling away as red as a stop sign.
Killian blinked at the kiss, staring at her for a moment. "Uhm. You're welcome."
Jade was still blushing as she stepped towards the couch. "Good… good night." she said, a little meekly and not looking at him.
He smiled a little bit. "Good night."
She put the pillow and blankets on the couch, simultaneously wanting him to leave and wanting him to stay. Why?!? Why do we have to be opponents when lately all I want to do is KISS HIM? … Get a grip on yourself, Jade.
Killian headed to his room, taking a deep breath.
Jade let out a small sigh and flopped down on the couch as he finally left. She was too tired to try to drive home and she had a small headache starting but at the same time… Maybe staying wasn't a very smart decision either… Too late to change your mind on this. Besides you know you want to stay.
Killian didn't know what to do. He closed his door, inhaling again. "Christ…"
Jade didn't really know what to do either. One side of her brain was saying to just forget about this whole crazy idea but the other part, that sounded suspiciously like Sophie, was saying to follow him upstairs and kiss him all night. She let out a soft groan at the conflicting thoughts.
He swallowed hard. He knew what he wanted. But it wasn't what he should do.
”Je veux ton amour, Et je veux ta revanche, Je veux ton amour” she sang very softly to herself. She chuckled a little at the irony that that particular song popped into her head at this moment. How much the lyrics reflected what she really wanted… but knew she shouldn't do. One way or another, this whole thing was going to break her heart.
Killian sighed softly, running his fingers through his hair. This is not good. He thought. We can't do this.
Jade groaned in exasperation. I can't believe this… I can't believe I want to go up there… she sighed, curling into a ball.
Killian sat down on his bed, and then started changing into his pajamas.
Jade stood up as if she made a decision… But immediately sat back down. She picked up the pillow and covered her face with it. She almost wanted to scream… This was just so ridiculous.
Killian didn't bother putting on a shirt, moving around and cleaning up his room.
Finally letting out a growl at herself, Jade slammed the pillow onto the couch and headed upstairs. Once she reached what she hoped was the right door, she knocked.
Killian looked up at the knock, and started looking around for his shirt. "Uh you can come in, I guess." he said, bending to pick his shirt up from the floor.
Jade hesitated a moment before she opened the door. As soon as she saw him shirtless, she started blushing again. ”Uhh… Sorry. I… I-uhhh… didn't…” she cleared her throat. ”I thought you might already be dressed.”
"I have pants on, no big deal." he replied, finally finding his shirt and standing up straight, pulling it on.
She sighed and let out a steadying breath. "I… just wanted to talk to you." she explained. "About us… I guess because I want to do something… that I know is impossible but… I don't know." She rubbed the back of her neck. "I was hoping either you could help talk me out of it? Or work a little magic to make it … not impossible…"
