"Fiiine." Vitalis groaned and nodded.

“So what made you want to pursue a griffin? Dying the normal isn’t fun anymore?”

"Well… I was reading a book and thought hey, that'd be cool to experience."

Brink nodded slowly "alright…and they call me the crazy one…." he shook his head and righted himself on the branch

"Because you are!" He said offended.

"thats not the point! you're supposed to be the more normal one out of the two." he jumped down from the tree and ran a hand through his bright green hair

Vitalis laughed then stood up finally feeling ok.

"you ever read a book about murder and think the same thing?" Brink tilted his head sharply and giggled "alone in the woods….something could happen…something bad…"

"Eh, can't be worse than getting clawed to death by a griffin."

"you might want to rethink that…" brink shook himself and grinned "ready to go yet or still physically broken?"

"I'm good now." Vitalis said then started walking.

"that was quick…" Brink shrugged and started headbanging to a song in his head, making his hair flop everywhere as the two walked

Vitalis watched in amusement as they walked.

"I don't know if this is crossing the line but can I ask how you got to this point in your life? How did you end up becoming technically immortal?" ceasing his crazy dancing for a moment

"I just did." He said and nodded.

"that's not an explanation Vi, were you born with it? did you gain it over time? were you probed by aliens?" he tilted his head at Vitalis

"Gained it at one point." He said and laughed.

“Do you remember how or was it just a spur of the moment thing?” His looked to his left, having seen something move from the corner of his eye

"Yeah, I remember what happened, interrogation much?" Vitalis asked then looked where brink was looking

Brink had fallen silent for once in his life and was slowly turning in circles, knife in hand

Vitalis was surprised.

He relaxed slightly and looked over at Vitalis “what?”

"You actually know how to be quiet" Vitalis said in a sarcastic tone then laughed.

"and you actually are an asshole," brink retorted, nerves on edge as he scanned the area again

"Wow, rude. I have friends who could smite you!" Vitalis said and glared then crossed their arms as if mad.

Brink glared at him “mhm, I highly, highly doubt that.”

"My 'dads' could smite you." Vitalis said and laughed.

“Ok one of your dads could smite me, me and Vasilios share a love for cats so I think we’re good.”

"Yeah, plus he's pretty harmless overall."

Brink nodded "yeah, he really is."
