Jared sat down slowly, his hands still trembling a little bit.
Jared sat down slowly, his hands still trembling a little bit.
"Just breathe, it's okay. You're safe. I won't let anything hurt you." He mutters gently.
He looked up at Victor for a moment, biting his lip and looking down at his hands again.
Victor stayed quiet but open, he knew the other needed time to process what had happened, so he offered himself as an outlet and as a source of safety.
Jared let out a shaky breath, hands tightening around the mug in his hands.
Victor sips quietly at his drink, waiting for Jared to say something. He wasn't going to pressure the boy, he was probably still processing and trying to calm down.
Jared closed his eyes for a moment. "Sorry." he said quietly. "I, uhm…"
"It's alright, don't push yourself, just take your time." he eases gently, his eyes soft. "Focus on breathing first."
Jared nodded a little, taking in another breath.
He smiled encouragingly, making sure to keep his movements nice and slow. He didn't want to scare the other, but he was open if Jared needed to talk.
Jared covered his face with a hand, taking in a slow, shaky breath. "I'm just, uhm…I don't know."
"It's okay." Victor eased. "Don't Force yourself to answer. Just focus on your breathing and easing." He says gently. "You can talk when you want to or you don't even have to talk. It's up to you."
He swallowed faintly. "Alright." He whispered. "I'm just…I'm really…I thought…" He didn't even know what he was trying to say.
He waits quietly, his eyes gentle and assuring. "We can stay at my home for a little while if it would make you feel more comfortable?" He offers gently.
He bit his lip, then nodded faintly. "Y-yeah, I…only if you're alright with that? W-we'd have to, uhm, let my parents know."
"Of course. You're more than welcome, it would probably make it easier to keep you safe since it's kept in a private location and has tight security." He offers a gentle smile.
He nodded again. "Can I, uhm, grab a book before we go?" he asked quietly, not really wanting to go back in his room. He would just grab one from the living room.
He nods and smiles. "Of course. Whatever you need." He stated gently. Victor always seemed so gentle despite what he did for a living.
He grabbed a book, coming back over to Victor. "Okay. I'm…I'm ready to go now…" he said quietly.
He nods and smiles a little. "Should we leave a note for your parents?" He asks curiously, a gentle smile on his lips.
He nodded, and quickly wrote out a message, tacking it to the fridge. "There."
He nods and walls to the door and opening it for the other. "Follow me then." He smiles warmly.
He followed Victor quietly.
Victor guided him into the car and drove them quietly. He took various routes to make sure they weren't being followed before making it to what looked like a very quaint house out in the country area.
Jared was quiet, curling up in the passenger seat with his book held in his arms.
Victor turns his attention to the other and inhaled softly. "Alright. We're here. Are you hungry? I can make some lunch?"
Jared shrugged faintly, glancing up at Victor. It was obvious he was a bit more traumatized than he had let on.
He nods slowly before moving to let Jared out of the car. He offers his hand to the other. He knew Jared was traumatized. The poor man had almost just been killed.
Jared took Victor's hand, biting his lip faintly.
He gently holds his hand and guides him into the house. It was rather cute and comfortable. It had a gentle vibe to it. He slowly released Jared's hands before smiling. "Here we are. Home sweet home. I'll show you to the guest room."
