He took the plate with a faint smile. "Thanks, Victor." he said softly.
He took the plate with a faint smile. "Thanks, Victor." he said softly.
Victor nods and smiles gently. "Of course." He says kindly, a small smile on his lips. "Enjoy."
Jared sat down, letting out a faint breath.
Victor took a bite of breakfast as he worked on cleaning up the kitchen. He looked relaxed here, not the usual uptight person he always was. This place was a safe haven.
Jared smiled faintly, and started to eat.
Victor finished up cleaning before walking to sit beside Jared. He offers a kind smile to the other before focusing on his food and eating quietly.
Jared kept eating and sipping at the smoothie.
Victor finished his food quietly before he relaxed and carried it to the sink. "Any plans for today?"
Jared shrugged faintly. "I…I don't know."
He nods slowly. "We can stay here if you want? Or we can go somewhere if you don't want to stay in the house all day."
"I need to check in with my parents, I…I might have to go somewhere or something." he replied.
"Of course. I have an untraceable phone in the library." He smiles gently. "So I can set that up for you."
"Okay. Thank you." he said softly.
"Of course, whatever you need." He says gently. "Just let me know what you need?" He offers a kind smile.
He smiled faintly in return. "Alright."
Victor nods and hums softly as he slowly cleans up from breakfast.
He ran his hands through his hair, closing his eyes.
Victor paused for a moment before setting a hand on Jared's shoulder. "I'll go get that phone set up."
He opened his eyes, looking up. "Oh. Alright. Thank you."
He nods and walks towards the library. The events of last night ran through his head, as well as this morning. It had been nice… having someone so close to him. He shook his head and set up the phone.
He swallowed faintly as he thought about how he had woken up curled in Victor's arms. It wasn't… appropriate, it really wasn't. But he couldn't bring himself to say it, to reinforce the boundaries that were supposed to exist between bodyguard and guarded.
Victor knew it was against his code to fall in love with someone that is supposed to be under his protection. He was supposed to protect Jared. Not compromise the whole mission. He inhaled softly and ran a hand through his hair. He needed to shove these feelings down.
He bit his lip anxiously, leaning his head on his hand and shaking his head a little bit.
He walked into the hall. "Jared? The phone is ready for you." He calls quietly. He needed to shove these thoughts down and just… do his job.
Jared looked up. "Oh. Thank you, Victor." He said with a faint smile, getting up to go use the phone.
He nods and smiles gently. "Sure thing." He lets Jared into the library before taking a deep breath and waking back into the living room/kitchen area.
He picked the phone up and called his mom.
Victor waited quietly as he waited, his eyes soft as he browsed his books to look like he was doing something… productive? He wasn't sure.
Jared talked with his mom for about five minutes. "Mom, I know. I know. I'm not…it's nothing, okay? It's nothing." He shook his head a little, and came back out to the living room after talking to his mom for about five minutes. "Thanks, Victor." He said softly.
Victor didn't listen in on the conversation, he knew better than that. He offered a kind smile and nods. "Of course… How are you feeling? And if I may ask… What were you dreaming about last night that upset you? You don't have to tell me of course. I just… Want to help ease it if I can."
