From around the corner of a cluster of spindly trees, a slender figure dressed in the color of raven feathers kept his head low while approaching the small yet extremely diverse group. His fiery hair shone under the sunlight, the darkness of his clothes made him look even paler than he was, and when he finally opened his mouth to speak to the group, his voice gave off the impression he was more than displeased with this meeting. “I doubt there is a good reason as to why I have been called here, but I’m assuming from the look of some of you,” he cast a quick glance around the group, lingering on the woman on the bench for a moment before looking away, “that it involves something one would not tend to class as ‘good’."
Adara snorted quietly to herself.
"That's putting lightly, pretty boy…"
She twirled her hair between two fingers nervously, eyes still jumping from person to person.
Logan turned and looked at both them, "Well hello both you, and what do you mean, not good.something around here is good and might I say you all are pretty good looking." He said casually then let go of Thomas and just leaned against him.
He raised an eyebrow. Quite a… flirtatious man that was, indeed. He shifted slightly in his place adjusting his collar. "Uh, thank you, I suppose." He turned his gaze to Adara. "You say I'm putting it lightly? How would you phrase it if you don't mind me asking?" He swept his crimson hair behind his ear and leaned against a nearby tree.
"From what I've heard, none of us are very friendly." She glanced at the men. "Besides, I'm not really a normal person in this day and age."
(Sorry, I have to go.)
“I’m not sure what you mean,” Thomas added, skipping over the flirting even though his still-present blush betrayed him. Wonderful. Sometimes he wished his skin weren’t so pale, since it was all too obvious when he blushed. “And what makes you think this is bad? This seems very promising to me.”
Logan nodded, "Yeah, this seems like fun, whatever this is." He said then smiled at the two he had gotten to be slightly affected by his flirting but noticed Thomas was way more effected and blushing and looked at him, "So, cutie, what are you here for, hmmm? Any ideas?"
“Oh, umm, you know just stuff,” Thomas bumbled for, flustered. He would seriously have to work on that. He cleared his throat. “Science stuff, to be exact. I’m actually considered pretty smart.” That wasn’t entirely true. Many people thought that he was eccentric, but it’s like any of these people knew him. “Are you here for flirting or something?” he blurted, intending to joke but not expecting to say that out loud.
"Hmm, an intelligent cutie." Logan smirked then laughed a bit at the question, "I guess you could say that. Though it's a bit more than flirting." Logan said with a wink.
Thomas’s stomach fluttered at the wink. “So do you…seduce people or something?” he asked, regarding him with interest (like he hadn’t been doing that already).
"Yeah, I guess that is what I do." Logan said and smirked, then rested a hand on Thomas's arm. "Is there any reason why you ask?"
(Ha, nope totally not)
((I thought his name was Logan…))
(it is I used the wrong name)
(i think you meant Logan lol)
Thomas glanced away for a moment before looking back. “Just curious, I suppose,” he replied, smiling slightly. “So far this seems like a bit of a ragtag group. A flirt, a scientist, an enigma, and a girl. And Mrs.Rhett, of course.” He inclined his head towards her, looking a bit like he was trying to solve a math equation.
"Once you two lovebirds are done, I'd like to know what I'm doing here." The woman shifted from foot to foot. "I'm Adara by the way." She continued to play with her hair.
(shit i miss ONE DAY-)
The woman did not speak at first, waiting patiently for the others to finally notice her presence. It was valuable information to know how they'd act without her around - if the chemistry was off, then the whole mission would be ruined.
Once all eyes turned to her, she stood up and turned to them. "Not here. Too many witnesses. What would you all think of a cup of hot coffee back at my manor?"
Logan turned his attention to the woman, "So, Miss… Why are we all here? Not that I mind or anything."
"I'll give you all the details later, rest assured," the woman said. "It is important to know what temperature the water is before jumping in."
She started walking to the edge of the park, indicating that the others should follow her. "The chauffeur will drive us there."
Logan nodded and followed her and looked behind him to see if they were all following her to the car.
Not too far away, a black carriage sat hidden out of sight from the public eye. Only once everyone was on their way would it begin to move, and the horses were becoming restless.
“Shhh.” A husky voice whispered from inside the carriage to the horses, before it whistled a low note that seemed to calm the horses down. “We shall be moving soon.”
Thomas went to get in the car as well, intrigued. He ran a hand through his messy hair again. Thankfully, his blush had faded.
Adara awkwardly climbed aboard. She grunted uncomfortably and shifted weirdly, trying to shrink her bulk into a corner.
The woman slid into the front seat. "The other three will meet us later. There are only so many people I can fit into one car, after all." She turned to look at them. "Now. Your questions?"
Logan nodded and looked around at the car, "Why did you choose this specific group of people?" Logan asked.
"I assume that your skills would come in handy for the task that I am about to give you," the woman said. "A brawler, a seducer, a scientist… indeed a motley crew, and yet quite powerful when working together. And you are not alone as well."
"There's more of us?" Thomas asked, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "What can they do? And what are we all doing together?"
"Clearly something not completely legal, smarty." Logan said with a wink then smiled, "Overall sounds fun whatever is planned, though I hope you give us a plan before throwing us into something."
Adara seemed to untense slightly.
"We'll get paid for this, i assume?"
