Juniper begrudgingly stood and went to her cabin to pack. Thankfully, it was deserted. She'd asked her cabin to continue training, and by some miracle, they had listened to her.

Jade grabbed her old backpack- it was an old blue north face backpack, the only birthday gift she ever got from her stepmom. It was useful. She put two knives in it along with a sweatshirt some jeans and a few T-shirts. On second thought there might be times when she was sitting on a bus and bored so she grabbed some pencils and her sketch book. She grabbed a copy of the Selection. It was her favorite book. So what if it was a romance book. She slipped her studded biker gloves on and complete the look with a leather jacket. She was ready to go. She snatched her people scrunchie on her way out the door. She should put her hair up later. Jade ran back over to the Big House. Everybody should be getting back soon.

Juniper snatched a change of clothes and a bag of hair ties, shoving them into her backpack. She looked around and shook her head at herself, realizing she'd almost forgotten her bow. After taking that and a quiver of arrows that probably belonged to Angeles, Juniper left the cabin, trying to reach the Big House, but getting distracted and spacing out so much that she decided to just sit for a few minutes and pluck at the grass.

Carina debated going over and talking to the people by the woods. On one hand, they could have information that could help her figure out this prophecy. On the other, they couldn't and it would get awkward and a whole load of bad things could go wrong socially. So in the end, she stayed put. Just standing there, trying to stop her head from spinning. One thing's for sure, she is going to go on a quest or even worst one of her siblings. Shuddered at the thought as it passed through her head again. What could she do? She was athletic but far from the top fighter in her cabin. And another thing, she was a coward. She doesn't do well in high stakes situations and should avoided them. Maybe just support whichever sibling went or something. It s=would be better for someone to go that was actually able to.

Well after a few hours, her plan backfired horribly. Carina found herself sitting in the Big House. Children of Apollo, Hades, and Athena surrounded her looking ready for anything. She even though she heard one say they wanted to go on this quest. This was insane! She shouldn't be here. So through there she stood. Leaning against a wall with her arms crossed. Head bowed towards the floor with her eyes wide just a bit more than usual. Whether the others can tell if she was panicking or not was not clear but the daughter of Aphrodite was regretting all decisions that lead her there.

Once disbanded, she walked to her cabin kind of out of it. Her mom was missing! Sure, she never knew the goddess personally but that didn't mean she wasn't worried. What happened? Was she taken or went on a century long bender. It had to be the first option or there wouldn't have been a call for heroes. Gods, what about the thing about Love and Death uniting. Carina didn't think Aphrodite was that close with Hades but she could be wrong. But what if it meant the children? Then that meant she had to unite with one of the two children of Hades and each was intimidating in their own way. She never even talked to them before.

The girl's mind continued to spin as she packed. Some of her siblings helped and had sympathetic faces. Others voiced the bet on how long she would last as it was no secret of how much of a coward she can be. But Carina just brushed it off and gathered her things. A few loud voices shouldn't drown out the many more supportive ones. So in ten minutes flat, she had gather a few pairs of shirts and jeans, a hoodie, her sketchbook along with a few pencils, and her to daggers. All of which were packed into a bag being lent by one of her siblings before she walked out the door. Where she was meant to go from her was unclear.

Jade saw Juniper sitting in the grass and sighed. She walked over and sat next to her. “So. I guess I should be nice since we are going on a quest. So. My friend once said people ask each other questions when they try to be friends. So what’s your favorite color?”

"Yellow," Juniper answered tersely. She really didn't want to be talking to this girl. Whatever. At least she wasn't actively being murdered. Yet.

Yellow. Of course. Children of Apollo were predictable. “Violet.” Jade knew people would think black- but she just liked wearing black.

"Didn't ask, but that's nice," Juniper rested her forehead on her hand and stared at the ground. "Feel free to move on to literally anyone else now."

Jade stood up and walked away. “Sorry if I was trying to be nice. Remind me to never do that again.” What the Hades! She was trying to be nice. Never again.

Carina took about two seconds to scan the camp grounds before spotting two demigods that were at the big house with her. She assumed that it was either that is where they were meeting or they would know. So that is what lead the small demigod to briskly walk to them. Although she was no hurry to get there as one was a child of Athena who she had seen angry before and the other seemed angry in that moment. Not exactly the mixture she wanted to be around. "Hello." She greeted once she arravied but one was already walking away and Carina didn't know if she heard her.

Jade whipped around. “Hello. Just warning you that apparently that one doesn’t like anyone being nice to them.” She pointed at Juniper.

"No, actually, that was specifically directed at you. I don't like you being nice to me. It creeps me out. And I'm not sure if you're aware, but I've been sent on a quest, and at the moment I'm not exactly in the mood to try and make friends with everyone," Juniper kept her voice almost completely devoid of emotion, something she'd been practising, but it trembled a few times, and she inwardly cursed herself.

Jade rolled her eyes. “Gee thanks for the confidence booster. I might creep you out but I’m also going on this quest and it’s hard to make friends but I thought I would change my attitude and try to be nicer but I’m obviously so creepy that you’ll hate me forever.” Ugh. Who needs friends anyway. They’ll just leave you.

"I'm not here to boost your confidence, kiddo," Juniper answered, standing. "But listen, it's not that I hate you; I don't have the time in my busy schedule of self-loathing for that. It's just that you make everything you say sound so much more dramatic than it should be. Take now, for instance. I say, 'I'm upset right now and don't want to make friends because you hated me this morning,' and you switch it to, 'she's going to hate me for all eternity.' Can you see how that might get annoying?" At this point, Juniper wasn't trying to be rude anymore, she was genuinely trying to soothe the poor Athena kid's feelings, which seemed horribly, tragically damaged, and weren't something Juniper wanted to have to deal with.

Carina stood there in silence with an awkward smile. This was definitely how she expected this moment to go. Although she didn't know what she was expecting. She never talked to them before and maybe there was rough history. She couldn't know nor should assume. At that point, hoping to not be in the way of any argument or worsen it she went to put her stuff down. The child of Aphrodite kind of shuffled to the side and sat on the other end of the step where Juniper wasn't sitting. It was only a matter of time before they had to go.

Jade turned around and began to walk towards the big house. “Whatever. Thanks for the chit chat. I’ll be in the library when we’re ready.”

Rayvn and Cielle were making their way up to the Big House with their packed bags, when they saw the Athena child walking out. Rayvn glared at her, though his glare was more emotionless and that made it all the more scarier. “Turn back around, we’re going to discuss matters of travel and try to formulate some sort of plan. Don’t you think, that as the daughter of the Goddess of strategical thinking, you ought to be there?”

Jade turned back around. “Yeah. I was just going to the Big House to get some books. But I guess we should talk about it as a group.” She sat down as far away from Juniper as possible.

Rayvn looked between the two girls, releasing a sigh. Why can’t those two just get along… He sat down beside the Aphrodite child, with Cielle on the other side of him, and addressed the group. “First of all, how many drachmas does everyone have? And please be realistic in the truth, because I don’t want us to run out because someone has lied about their balance.”

Jade pulled a jingling bag out if her backpack. “A few. Let’s see.”she spilled out the contents. “One…two…three…four…five…and six. I’ve got six.” She hopes that others had more. They would need it.

Juniper shook her head. "I'm completely broke," she answered, leaning against a post. "Pissed off a friend in Hermes cabin. Like I do."

Cielle took out a small velvet bag. Silently counting the coins, She sighed. "I have like 20. Probably one more in the cabin that I threw behind the bed." She frowned, putting the bag back

“I did wonder what that object was.” Rayvn scratched his chin with a shrug, in reference to Cielle’s money bag. “Thought it was some herbs you were hiding from the Demeter cabin.” He chuckled while digging into his own bag, pulling out a thick, handmade (fake) leather pouch he’d gotten as a birthday present from one of the nymphs. He took out seven coins and a bank card. “Oh yeah… I’d forgotten about that.”

Carina continued her silence as she watches the last two members of the travel group approach them. One of them had a glare painted onto his face. She looked away quickly really not wanting to be on the other side of that glare. She didn't hear what was being said by the trio but it seemed to have convinced the daughter of Athena to come back. At that moment, it downed on her that there was more than three people going on this quest. Which isn't good as a group above three has a heightened chance to attract monsters. She didn't have too much time to dwell as the son of Hades sat next to her. Carina swallowed thickly as she scooted a bit to the side as the said demigod asked for the amount of drachmas they all had. The girl stuck her hands into her jean pocket and pulled out all her money. Counting each one silently before speaking the number. "I have nine."

"So that's about fifty drachmas and whatever is on this card." Rayvn nodded, twirling his bank card between his fingers. "That should be enough to get us started." Then he frowned and smacked his forehead. "Crap! What about normal money? Please tell me you guys have mortal cash."
Having normal human money would be essential to this quest, especially if they were going to be travelling on public transport—which wasn't ideal, but it was definitely better than walking and shadow travelling everywhere.

Carina nodded along with the words of the demigod next to her. When asked about mortal cash she knew she would be of much help. Especially with who her dad was. She pulls her bag towards her and looks though some pockets for cash. Soon she had found a wade and replaced with the drachmas. "I have fifty dollars right here and a debt card. So if we need anymore, I would just need to go to a bank and withdraw some. I'm sure my father wouldn't miss a few hundreds going missing." She says as she holds out the wade of cash out for the group to see.

Jade sighed. “I’ve got some cash and a credit card. My dad forgot to cancel it so we’ve got a lot of money.” She smirked at the thought of her dad not noticing how much money she spent.
