Jade raised a brow as she noticed his eye color, not familiar with the meaning for it. She nodded goodbye to the officer as he helped Killian in the cruiser. Thankfully, most of the officers didn’t ask about the glitter on her suit though she did get quite a few strange looks before she got on her bike.
Killian watched Jade for a moment, smirking, and glad he had fed his fish before he left.
Jade gave a small salute to the officers and cast a small glance at Killian before she drove off. Wonder how long it'll be before he breaks out.
Probably less than 24 hours, in reality. Killian lounged back in the car, waiting.
Jade let out a soft breath as she drove back to her Den. It hadn't been their longest fight but this time they had exchanged more banter than blows. And his little comment about not hitting a woman confused her a bit.
Killian waited, crossing his legs and letting out a breath. He waited to arrive at the jail.
The police took Hex to the station in silence, occasionally giving him distasteful glances. Once they arrived they were a little hesitant to touch him but when they finally found their nerve they were a bit rough.
Killian kept himself stiff and unyielding, not responding to them as they hauled him around.
They kept the cuffs on him as they went through the process of incarcerating him. It was slightly more streamlined than what was used for ”everyday” criminals. They did attempt to interrogate him about the money though they were doubtful he would cooperate.
Killian was silent at each question, humming and ignoring them, tapping his fingers together.
After a few minutes of unanswered questions, the police attempted to search him for the stolen money and any potential weapons he may have had hidden on his person.
The money couldn't be found, nor any weapons. Though they did pull out a plethora of glitter and bananas, which he grinned and laughed about.
The police were very confused when they found the bananas and glitter, though they at least had an answer about what happened to the heroine's suit. Not finding anything else, they proceeded to put him in a specially designed cell to hold villains like him.
Killian sighed, linking his fingers together to wait and see. He thought about testing the cell with his magic, but decided not to just yet.
Jade had changed into her civilian clothes and returned to her home without disturbing her roommate. She sighed as she collapsed on her bed, not really tired but she needed to rest. No doubt his escape would be on the news.
Killian whistled as he waited, swinging his legs back and forth like a child.
Jade groaned at herself. She knew he wasn't going to change… She couldn't, DIDN’T expect him to. But she couldn't help the small strange feeling of disappointment inside.
Killian continued to wait for a good long while, humming and whistling and kicking his feet.
Jade eventually and a little fitfully, fell asleep. She needed to stop thinking about him for a while.
After some time, the police turned off the lights for the night.
Killian waited for another hour or so, then got up, and snapped his fingers, putting into effect the spell to bust himself out of prison.
There were a few guards stationed nearby though a couple of them had fallen asleep while others were a little anxious for him to try to escape.
Killian cast a few sleeping spells for the guards, and made his way out of the cell, humming lightly as he walked.
The guards fell asleep easily under Killian’s spell. There was one, maybe two, guards who would swear, when they woke up in the morning, that they saw him walk out before they strangely passed out.
Killian left the police station, and started teleporting, small little jumps until he finally reached his home and tumbled into bed, still in costume.
(sure. Want me to do it, or do you want to?)
(I can if you want me to)
Jade slept until Sophie turned on the news while she made coffee. As much as Jade wanted to stay in bed, she had to get up. Her roommate couldn't cook and she didn't want to deal with the smoke alarm going off.
Killian got up late that morning, and changed into his normal clothes. He deposited the money into a ghost account; one he only used for stolen goods like this.
