She rolled her eyes again at the, no doubt, hidden meaning… Well, semi-hidden at least. There!! Finally… She turned to face him and quickly ran at him.
She rolled her eyes again at the, no doubt, hidden meaning… Well, semi-hidden at least. There!! Finally… She turned to face him and quickly ran at him.
Killian flickered into view as she came closer. He winked, and vanished again, this time teleporting somewhere else in the building.
Jade skidded to a stop and held back a sound of annoyance as he vanished again. She knew he had to still be in the bank. He always had a pattern when he disappeared like this. She had never been sure how far he could actually teleport but… He enjoyed this too much for him to just leave.
Killian whistled as he stuffed more things into the bag, waiting for Jade to find him again. He was still smirking.
Arrogant much? Jade smirked as she picked up on his whistling before charging at him again, this time successfully grappling him.
Killian looked at her, pushing a hand up and pushing her away. "Off."
Jade braced herself against the hit and only slid back a little ways. She had to bite her lip to hold back a retort about how he didn't mind her being close before. She grabbed his wrist and twisted it to make him drop the bag.
Killian grunted, and jumped so that his wrist remained straight, turning in the air, and vanishing again. He reappeared in another room, and stuffed the bag in a pocket. It was a magic pocket, so the bag simply disappeared.
”Damn.” Jade muttered as she was left holding air. She turned and walked back to the main area to look for him. ”Give it back, Hex!”
Killian laughed again. "Make me, darling!" He called, laughing.
Jade charged in the direction of the laughter. ”You know I will. I always get you.” she called back.
"Not always!" Killian sang out, still laughing as he kept moving.
”Then stop hiding and face me.” she challenged, still following his voice.
Killian laughed again. "Me? Hide? Never!" And with that, multiple different Killians appeared, surrounding her. Magic, of course.
Jade almost growled when she was surrounded by the magic duplicates. ”Ever think of starting a one-man show or something? It’d be a bigger hit then robbing banks.” she said sliding into a defensive stance. She wasn't completely certain if he was in the crowd or not.
Killian laughed. Or rather, all the Killians laughed. At the same time. In the same way. "Meh. Maybe so. But slightly less fun."
”Ok… That's marginally creepy in stereo.” Jade repressed a slight shudder. ”Don’t really believe in a fair fight, do you?”
Killian shrugged. "Why would I?" They asked, raising their eyebrows at her.
Jade dropped her shoulders in a silent huff at his answer before punching the nearest one.
The Killian she punched vanished in a poof, only to reappear again as soon as her hand was gone.
”Wow. You managed to make these things as annoying as you are.” she commented dryly, before hitting another Killian.
The Killians laughed. The one she hit vanished, then reappeared again.
Jade held back a growl at the taunting laughter as she prepared to throw another hit when she realized what was going on. He was wearing her down. The fakes were just a smokescreen; she couldn't do any damage to them… And maybe they couldn't do anything to her either. Changing her tactics; she spread her arms out and ran through the crowd.
They poofed, disappearing when she touched them, then reappearing. There were so many, though, that it would be very difficult to find the real Killian.
Jade continued through the crowd, still “searching” for the real Killian.
The real Killian was hidden deep in the back of the group, watching her. Well, they all were, chuckling as she struck each new Killian.
Jade smirked under her mask. As she reached the back of the crowd, she noticed one was slightly out of sync with the others. It was almost barely noticeable but that one reacted just a second before the echoes did.
The Killians watched her now with an almost eerie silence, waiting to see what she would do next.
The silence unnerved her a little more than the laughter but she stayed focused on her target. She didn’t change her stance yet; too soon and he’d disappear again. Once she was finally close enough: she slammed into his stomach, hoping to either knock him down or knock the wind out of him.
The Killians grunted, and the real Killian stumbled back, eyes flashing. The fake Killians vanished, leaving just them.
