"Sunday works," Lotus spoke up for the first time in forever. They saw how April and Jeff ignored them and thought to themselves Good keeping doing that.
(Quick reminder, can you use she/her for Lotus since she isn't out at school yet? Please?)

Cat turned to her. Thank god "Ok nice," She said turning to her other group members.
"Sundays fine with me too. Your place?" April asked. Cat shook her head.
"Can't my parents still wont let anyone over after last weeks party," She lied. Jeff and April nodded.
"party was worth it though," Jeff said smirking. Cat nodded giggling slightly. She then looked around the group.
"Any of ya'lls places free or should we meet at the library." She looked over at Lotus.
Lot continued to not make eye contact with anyone looking at the desk of the floor. They shrugged and commented quietly, "Library works for me."
The other nodded as well. "Ok then what do you guys think of the actual project?" She asked. April and Jeff just shrugged and started talking about something else.
Lot rolled their eyes as April and Jeff got off-topic. They looked at Cat's nose or right above their head, "It shouldn't be that hard if we get it done quick. Though I doubt that'll happen with dumb and dumber over there."
April heard her and looked over glaring. Cat just bit her lip. "Yeah it seems really easy. I can being art supplies if someone can get a poster," She said. It was easy to steal some markers but nearly impossible to sneak out a whole poster.
Lot paid no attention to April. They weren't going to be bothered by whatever April thought. The one perk to having an aspiring artist as a younger sister was the art supplies they tended to leave lying around, "I can bring art supplies."
Cat nodded. April looked like she was about to snap when Jeff spoke up. “I can bring the poster.” They then continued their side conversation.
Lot nodded and leaned back in their chair looking at the desk. They couldn't stop the words flowing out of their mouth, "Great that's everything. Along with their one contribution."
April glared at her again. “What did you just say?” She asked. Cat sighed
Lot paid no mind to April however they glanced over at April before repeating themselves, "I said, along with your one contribution since you clearly aren't that interested in the project."
April’s glare deepened. “No one in this room actually cares about this project,” she said rolling her eyes.
"I never said I care," Lot responded popping their lips slightly pushing their hands in their pockets one they realized the stars were starting to show, "I said you two lack interest in the project and your grade. Given that I'm sure you wouldn't mind me telling the teacher you two didn't help with the project when we turn in it."
“Hey we never said we wouldn’t help out. We agreed to come on Sunday,” Jeff said trying setting April down. Cat was looking down at her notebook trying to ignore them. She had glanced at Lotus and saw something on her hand but she couldn’t see what it was.
Lotus shoved their hands further into their pockets. They gave a shrug, "You agreed to come, but given your current attitude I would have no doubt that you both won't be doing much."
“Fine if that’s what you think then we’ll ask to be a group of 3,” April said. Cat didn’t look up.
"Ask to be a group of 2 if you really want to prove yourselves," Lotus responded her mismatched eyes finally meeting April's since they knew hers wouldn't be a match, "I'm not letting you drag someone else down with you."
Cat finally looked up. “Ok enough. She gave us this group so we are going to work in it. Now this is a research project on whatever Greek god we choose since we read the odyssey next week. So what god do you guys want to do?” She asked looking around at them and then at Lotus. Attempting to look everyone in the eyes.
Lot made sure their eyes shot back down to their stuff on the desk backing down off of the pair. They were still a annoyed at them, but figured it would be best to just shut up before drawing too much attention to themselves. They thought for a moment and before suggesting, "We could do Athena or Artemis?"
April and Jeff still ignored then but they didn’t protest. Cat nodded. “Ok Artemis then?” She asked looking at Jeff and April. Jeff just nodded.
Lotus gave a quick nod and shut their eyes. They took a breath and opened them once more looking at their notebook, "Sounds good. So what are we going to do with the rest of the class period then?"
Cat shrugged. “Research I guess. My laptops broken but I can look up stuff on my phone,” she lied smoothly and took out her phone and notebook.
"I have my computer here," Lotus responded pulling out their computer and putting in onto the desk they sat at. They glanced over at Jeff and April, "What about you two? Going to help us?"
“I’ll look shit up,” Jeff mumbled pulling out his laptop. April did as well. They turned them on but then started talking.
Lot sighed and rolled their eyes again. The started to look up facts about Artemis knowing that they would definitely be including how Artemis was demisexual.
Cat took out her headphones untangling the cords. She was better at watching videos than reading articles. She propped her phone up against a water bottle while she took messy notes on different facts.
Lot was reading articles and saving the links to a google doc for later citing if need be. They paused for a moment before sharing the doc with Cat, but not April or Jeff. They still needed to prove they were going to work on the project and not gossip all hour.
Cat saw the email notification but she just glanced at Lotus. She then looked back at her video. Her leg bouncing slightly. finger tapping on her desk.
Lot knew Cat got the link, but never expected a response, so when no response came they were fine with it. They let out a slight sigh glancing at the time on their computer, only ten minutes left and then they were in math and away from Cat and April and Jeff.
Cat finished the video and then opened the doc. She opened the link. Her leg bouncing faster as she read.
