Jade chuckled and raised a brow. ”Anything I should be worried about?” she asked lightly teasing but a little concerned.
Jade chuckled and raised a brow. ”Anything I should be worried about?” she asked lightly teasing but a little concerned.
Killian shook his head. "Nah, not really." He replied, taking a sip of his soda.
”I hope not.” Jade smirked. Honestly, she wasn't expecting him to actually tell her if he had anything unlawful planned but she figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
Killian smiled a little, taking another sip of soda. "Anyways."
Jade smiled back and took another sip of her own drink. ”Well, you know what I’ve been up to lately.” she shrugged.
(gtg to bed now. Good night!)
"Yeah, that's true." Killian replied, nodding.
(Good night.)
”At least, this time I had a hero name to give them.” Jade smiled at him. ”No more Hi-Tech Trinity look-a-like.” she chuckled.
Killian chuckled. "I mean, that's a bonus, right?" he replied with a smile. He took another sip of his drink.
”I think it is.” Jade admitted before lifting her drink to him in a little salute. ”And I owe it to you. Without your help; I don't know what I would be called yet.”
Killian gave a mock bow, not getting up from his seat. "But of course." he replied. "You're very welcome."
Jade laughed at his playful response but she hoped that he knew she was being sincere earlier. It was likely that she would have come up with a name for herself sooner or later but… Her ability was intelligence, not creativity. That was about average.
Killian ran a hand through his hair, smiling over at her. He shifted in his seat.
Jade returned the smile and leaned back against the couch. She sighed softly and closed her eyes, not realizing that she was humming a little.
Killian yawned softly, looking over at her quietly.
Jade had a small smile on her face as she continued to hum the soft melody.
Killian listened quietly, eyes flicking over her for a moment, then away again.
Jade continued to hum a bit longer, a little ignorant of her audience at the moment, before she silently started to mouth the words.
Killian smiled a little, taking a sip of his soda as he listened to her hum. His eyes flicked to her mouth for a moment, before going to the ceiling.
Now that her mouth was moving to the lyrics, actual words started flowing softly from her. ”I am walking the tightrope, I am walking it for you, I am living on high hopes, Now they're, now they're crashing through, So I hold my breath, And close my eyes, I grab my heart when I realize, I am walking the tightrope for you…”
Killian watched her again for a moment, biting his lip. Kiss her…NO. No, bad Killian! He thought, eyes flashing for a moment.
Jade sighed pausing her singing for now, debating whether or not to continue the song. It was a slower-paced and almost sad song but it had quickly become one of her many favorites. She took a sip from her soda as she kept thinking.
Killian bit his lip again. "What song is that?" he finally asked, looking over at her.
Jade jumped with a small yelp as he spoke, having almost forgotten where she was and that he was with her. ”Uh… Tightrope by The Score. Sorry you had to listen to that. I… I’m not a good singer.” she said blushing brightly.
Killian chuckled. "It's good." he replied. "And…you're not that bad a singer." he smiled at her.
Jade blushed more and looked away, choosing to focus on finding patterns in the wood coffee table. ”Thank you.” she almost whispered before clearing her throat and speaking in a more normal tone. ”It’s a really great band. You should check them out sometime.”
Killian smiled again. "Yeah, I've heard a few of their songs." he nodded.
”Yeah?” Jade looked back at him, still a little red-faced. ”Which ones?” she asked.
"Uhm…I think it was called stronger?" he replied. "something like that?"
Jade nodded with a little more relaxed smile. ”Yeah, that’s a good one. Very inspiring.”
Killian smiled again. "Yeah. I mean…they aren't my favorite band, but they're pretty good."
