Jade smiled a little and took a step closer to him, holding his arm. ”Thanks, but this is fine.” she assured him. ”Maybe guide me out of here when it stops.”
Jade smiled a little and took a step closer to him, holding his arm. ”Thanks, but this is fine.” she assured him. ”Maybe guide me out of here when it stops.”
Killian nodded. "Alright. I can do that." He replied with a smile.
”My hero.” Jade couldn't help but tease playfully, though her smirk vanished as she felt the slight jolt of the elevator stopping. ”Is this us?” she asked.
Killian laughed a little. He checked the numbers as the door opened. "Yeah." He led her out carefully.
Jade nodded in relief and followed his lead out the doors before finally opening her eyes. ”Thanks.” she said, dropping her hand from his arm but still brushing his hand.
Killian nodded, looking down at her with a slight smile. "Of course. Shall we head out?" He asked.
”Yeah. You're probably ready to go home.” Jade agreed before leading him to the main door, absentmindedly playing with her keychain.
Killian nodded. "Mhm. My fish are going to be starving." He made a face. "I gotta clean the damn tank, too."
Jade looked up at him curiously. ”I didn't know you had fish.” she commented as she walked over to her bike and disarming the alarm.
"Just a small tank. Ten gallons." Killian replied with a shrug. "That's all."
”That’s cool. What kind of fish?” she asked before putting on her helmet.
"Oh! There's uhm…" he thought for a moment. "A few snails, uhm…a few tetras, and…" he trailed off. "A couple others, too." he shrugged.
Jade nodded a little as she mounted the bike. ”Well, we better get going then. Don't want those tetras to turn into piranhas.” she chuckled.
Killian laughed, climbing on behind her. "Yeah, that would be scary."
Jade smiled at him with a slight nod and started driving towards his house.
Killian was quiet, linking his arms around her waist to hold on.
Jade could feel her face heat up as he put his strong arms around her. It hadn't bothered her before but… in light of her actions last night… She resisted the urge to shake her head to clear her thoughts and just tried to focus on driving.
Killian was quiet, looking around as she drove. His hair was being blown back by the wind.
Jade actually found herself having to concentrate more than usual as she drove. She had considered speeding up a little but she couldn't bring herself to. Not just for the legal reasons but… She liked him holding her like this. Her face turned redder at the silent admittance.
Killian was silent, holding her gently as they continued. He knew that she knew the way to his house, so he didn't bother giving directions.
Jade continued to drive in silence, focusing solely on the road. If she started to give even a second of thought to how she was feeling towards the man behind her… She was sure she would have to pull over. As nice as those thoughts were; they were also completely impossible.
Killian knew they would reach his place soon enough, and…he found that he really didn't want to go. Didn't want to leave Jade.
Jade sighed softly as she recognized his neighborhood coming up faster than she honestly wanted it to. She knew she would have to think very hard and for quite a while to get her head sorted out before she saw him again, but she already knew she wanted to. ”Here we are.” she said trying to keep any disappointment out of her voice as she slowed to a stop in front of his house.
Killian smiled, getting off the bike. "Uhm, thanks." he said. "Do you, er…do you wanna come in?" he asked, raising his eyebrows at her curiously.
Jade hesitated at his question. ”I…” she started. I really shouldn't. ”Sure. I’d like that.” she nodded with a small smile as she turned off the bike’s engine.
Killian nodded. "Come on, then. You can help me feed my fish." he chuckled softly, leading her inside.
Jade laughed softly with him as she stood up off her bike and removed her helmet. ”Ok.” she agreed, following him to the door and turning on her alarm.
Killian unlocked the door to his home, and led her inside. He took off his coat and shoes, flicking on the lights.
Jade smiled a little at the familiarity she was starting to find in his house as she carefully took off her shoes and jacket as well. ”So, where are your fish?” she asked curiously.
"This way." He replied. He beckoned with a hand, leading her through the house to a little area in the living room. "I put them back in this nook to be protected in case my magic goes weird." He said.
