“Ok. Coffee?” Jade called back, trying to make a decision for her own meal.
“Ok. Coffee?” Jade called back, trying to make a decision for her own meal.
"Sure." Killian got up. "Uhm… where's your bathroom, by the way?"
Jade rolled her eyes. ”You should know where that is. You helped me stitch up my leg in there yesterday.” she reminded him as she started the coffee machine.
Killian laughed. "Oh yeah." He headed into the bathroom, closing the door behind him.
”Dork.” Jade chuckled to herself, finally pouring herself just a bowl of cereal. Not much else sounded good at the moment.
(sorry it's short.)
(it's fine!)
Killian finished up in the bathroom, coming out after a few minutes. "Hey." he greeted with a smile, stretching and running his hands through his hair.
”Hey.” Jade replied, still not really looking at him. ”Coffee’s ready.” she set a cup on the counter. ”Milk’s in the fridge and sugar’s next to the pot.”
Killian nodded, and made himself coffee with a liberal amount of milk and sugar. He took a cautious sip, not wanting to burn his tongue.
Jade leaned against the counter, trying not to make eye contact. ”I… I'm sorry about my actions last night. I wasn't thinking clearly.” she apologized.
"Which ones?" Killian replied, raising his eyebrows. He took another sip of coffee, looking at her curiously.
Jade blushed at the question. ”Slee- uhh… Falling asleep on you. And anything else that I did that made you uncomfortable.” she said a little unsure. She still remembered most of what she said and did but she couldn't bring herself to say more at the moment.
"Nah. It's fine." Killian replied, shaking his head and watching her for a moment. "Really. Don't worry about it."
”You always say that.” Jade pointed out, a small smile starting to appear. ”Thank you.” she said letting herself relax a little though she was still embarrassed.
He chuckled. "Yeah yeah. You're welcome." He replied with a shrug.
Jade chuckled a little and went back to finishing her breakfast. It was… a little strange now that she thought about it but it seemed that she was always apologizing or thanking him for something.
Killian ran a hand through his hair. "I should get going sooner or later." He said slowly. "I shouldn't be here when you're friend gets back."
”Right.” Jade nodded. ”Sophie would never let us hear the end of it if she saw you when she got back.” she chuckled with a light blush as she put her empty bowl in the sink.
Killian laughed a little. "Mhm." He let out a breath. "It was, uhm…it was nice hanging out with you, though."
”It was… nice hanging out with you too.” Jade smiled. ”Umm… Do you want me to take you home or is Sparky going to drive himself back?” she asked.
"It's up to you." Killian replied with another quick smile.
Jade smiled more confidently with a small chuckle. ”I can drive. You just finish your coffee, I need to fix my hair a little. No rush.” she told him walking back towards the living room to grab Sophie's hairbrush first.
"Alright." He replied. He took another sip of his coffee, leaning his hip on the counter a little bit.
Jade looked over at him briefly from the living room before quickly dropping off Sophie’s hairbrush and heading to her own room… with a faint blush painting her cheeks the whole time.
Killian was quiet. His white streaked black hair was messy and rumpled from sleeping, sticking up a little bit.
”I really need to stop thinking about him like that. Last night was poor judgment on my part. I doubt it’ll happen again.” Jade muttered to herself as she pulled her brush through her semi-wild morning hair.
Killian's green eyes flickered around the kitchen, observing it carefully.
The kitchen was a little on the small side but it actually made sense for the size and layout of the apartment. Even though Jade was trying to hide her intelligence and identity, there was a definite system to where everything was placed.
Killian ran his hands through his hair, drinking some more coffee. He smiled a little at how organized it was. He himself struggled with such organization.
Jade walked out of her room, blush much less noticeable and hair tamed. She looked over at him and chuckled a little. ”Need a brush?” she asked.
