"Sorry, Jack I can't just give it to you for free, radio's like this are in high demand."
"I'm not asking for it for free, I'm trying to trade for it," she pushed to sets of of binoculars forward, "This one has a built in range finder, that has to be worth something."
"Jack, I don't do business like this. I'll take cash and that is it." He said taking the military style walkie off the table, "Sell them at another shop and come back and talk to me when you have cash." Jack took the binoculars and put them back into her bag. She picked up her rifle leaning against the counter and left slamming the door behind her. 'I can't pay cash because I need that for food,' She thought to her self.
Kayla tied her hair up into a messy ponytail, trying to hide it in her hat. She sighed as she took out the small pouch of coins in her pocket. This is worthless. I can't get anything with this amount of money! She put the pouch back in her pocket, huffing angrily. Kayla had been planning on getting a small gift to send to her little brother back home in Norfolk, but there was no use. I can't get him nothin' with this. Except maybe a few seeds. This wasn't the only reason she couldn't send anything to her brother. Her home town, Norfolk, is a naval base. It's nearly impossible to get a letter to someone and if you do, it'll get to them weeks late.
(setting the scene) The busy streets of richmond are packed with people and cars struggle to get through the masses there are occasional protesters stand on the sidewalks shouting about peace even though they know it will not come anytime soon fighting has been going on for only a month now and there has been heavy casualties on both side. border states are a complete wasteland and major cities reduced to a pile of rubble and human corpses
Orion, her hair pulled back, tripped on a rose bush as she walked out of the tent she’d pitched the night before. Cursing under her breath, she took out a knife, slashed the plant off of its roots, and kept walking.
(looks good everyone! if you need any help or questions awnsered tell me!)
(SEE THE ROSEBUSH)
(are they already in a camp?)
