Killian mumbled under his breath as he worked on the spell, eyebrows knitted together.
Killian mumbled under his breath as he worked on the spell, eyebrows knitted together.
Wait… Is he just making the spell up right now? Jade wondered seeing the intense focus on Killian’s face. If that was true… She didn't know if she should feel guilty for making him do this or if she should feel extremely grateful for his efforts.
Killian's face relaxed a little, and he dropped the hair, opening his eyes. "Done." he said softly, sounding tired.
”Thank you.” Jade smiled gratefully. ”I really appreciate you doing that. Are you alright? I can get you some water or something if you need it.” she offered.
Killian sighed, and set the brush aside. "I uhm…I will be fine. But some water would be great."
Jade gave a knowing smile when he said fine but didn't press. ”Ok.” she nodded, standing up and walking to the kitchen. ”Just leave the brush. I’ll put it back later.”
He nodded. "Alright." he replied, watching her go for a moment.
Normally, when she was around people, Jade had to remember to walk a little heavier than when she was in costume. Not that she was completely silent when she walked but she came pretty close. Right now, however, it was somewhere in between because she didn't have much to hide from Killian so she didn't bother to try. ”Here you go.” she smiled kindly as she handed him a glass of water.
Killian took the water. "Thank you." he said with a quick smile. He drank most of it in one go.
Jade raised a brow slightly at how quickly he nearly finished the water. ”Wow. I knew using your powers wore you out a bit but I didn't know it was that bad.” she chuckled softly. ”How much magic did you use?”
Killian smiled a little. "Uhm…it was more difficult since her location is on the move, and i only had a hair to work with." he replied with a slight shrug.
”Oh. That makes sense.” Jade nodded. ”Sorry about that.” she said awkwardly.
"It's fine." Killian replied with a slight shrug.
Jade hummed in acknowledgement before leaning back against the couch and closing her eyes for a moment.
Killian was quiet, sighing softly and taking a hand through his hair.
Jade sighed slightly at the quiet. Normally, she didn't mind it, especially when she was making something or calming down from a metal overload or after shock but she was starting to realize that she liked talking with Killian.
Killian leaned his head back and looked at the ceiling, closing his eyes for a moment.
”You alright?” she asked softly, her eyes still closed as she relaxed further.
Killian nodded. "Mhm. You?" he replied, eyes still closed.
”I’m surprisingly good.” she admitted. ”This is either the fastest recovery or the longest delay I've ever had.” she told him.
He nodded a little. "Mm. Alright." he replied.
”You know you still owe me that secret.” she smirked a little.
Killian blinked. "Who, me?" he replied, eyes opening and looking over at her.
Jade nodded keeping her eyes closed. ”Mhm. For winning that sparring match.” she reminded him. ”You said you would tell me a secret.”
Killian sighed loudly. "Damn. I thought you would forget about that." he replied.
“Not with my mind.” Jade chuckled. ”There are a few things I wish I could forget but this isn't one of them.”
Killian laughed softly. "Mm. Alright. What do you want to know, then?" He asked, raising his eyebrows a little.
Jade shrugged. ”I don't know. As long as it's a good secret… it doesn't have to be too personal. Just maybe something you haven't told anyone before.” she suggested turning to look at him.
Killian hummed softly, thinking about what to say. He looked up at the ceiling again.
Jade watched him patiently waiting for him to decide what he wanted to tell her. She already knew a fair bit about him and was actually telling him a few things about herself. By now he had already seen her at three of her weakest moments; two alone today.
