Killian chuckled. "Mm. Don't worry too much about it, Jade." he replied, looking over at her with a half-smile. "I'm not jealous, don't worry. Though he might be." he smirked.

She chuckled and sat back up. ”He really is. Sorry if I made you uncomfortable when I called you my friend. I just… actually don't know what to call our relationship.” she shrugged with a shy smile. ”At least I didn't make things worse and call you my boyfriend.”

Killian laughed. "I have been friend-zoned." he replied with a grin. "And yeah, don't worry about it. It's fine."

Jade blushed a little as she laughed with him. ”I didn't mean it like that. It's just… Ok. What would you call us?” she raised a brow in a slight challenge.

"Friends with benefits." Killian replied immediately, teasingly. He smirked at her.

Jade glared playfully at his remark and lightly kicked his leg. ”Cad.”

Killian grinned, smirking. "Why thank you."

”Wasn’t a compliment.” she retorted, holding back a chuckle.

He winked, then pretended to be astounded. "It wasn't?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.

Jade shook her head with a genuine smile. ”It’d be more of a compliment for me to call you the most infuriating man I've ever known.” she chuckled.

Killian grinned. "Oh? And am I?" He asked, raising his eyebrows and laughing.

She shrugged, smiling. ”When we first met, absolutely.” she teased.

"Wait, what are we counting as our first meeting?" Killian asked, raising an eyebrow at her.

”I was thinking of our first fight.” she tilted her head slightly. ”Why? Did you have a different meeting in mind?”

Killian nodded slowly. "Ah, okay. I wasn't sure if you meant civilian meeting or not." He replied with a laugh.

Jade chuckled. ”The closest thing we had to a civilian meeting was the night I passed out in your arms on your doorstep.” she smiled shyly.

Killian laughed. "I know." he replied. "And I had no idea what in hell I was supposed to do."

She smiled at him and gently placed her hand on top of his. ”Maybe not, but you did the right thing. You were kind and considerate… and I'm very thankful for your actions.” she said sincerely.

Killian grinned. "Gee, thanks." he replied, chuckling softly.

Jade rolled her eyes and pulled back. ”That was supposed to be a compliment.” she sighed with a light chuckle. ”Am I that bad at giving them? Or are you unable to accept them?”

He grinned again. "I am bad at accepting them." he replied teasingly.

”And why is that?” she asked curiously. Was he just unused to receiving them or did he think he didn't deserve them?

He shrugged. "I don't know." he replied honestly. "I'm just bad at receiving them." he smiled lightly.

Jade nodded. ”It’s ok.” she assured him. ”Even you can't be perfect at everything.” she winked.

Killian rolled his eyes. "Of course I can't. Sadly, I'm only human."

”There’s no shame in that. I even tried to put a few human traits into Sparky.” she smiled.

Killian chuckled. "I was only teasing, Jade." he replied, wrinkling his nose.

”Good.” she smirked, leaning back a bit. ”Oh, hey! You still own me a secret for the sparring match.”

Killian blinked. "Ah, that's right." he replied, looking at her. "I'll tell you later, alright?"

”You’d better.” she winked. ”I can wait till we’re alone to hear it.” Jade nodded.
