She crossed her arms and smirked at him. "You were askin for-" she was interrupted by the man setting a large pizza on the table.

Brett looked away from the man to avoid any more embarrassment. He gave him a slight nod, and glared at Izzy.

"Come on, it was just a joke" she waved it off, though her face was visibly red. She hoped Brett wouldn't notice.
"You were basically asking for it anyway."
"plus your lips looked so soft i had to…." she mentally noted

(They're back- the butterflies are back.)

Brett scrunched his brow. He couldn't figure her out! "A joke?" He asked sounding half disappointed.

She leaned into.the table a little and winked "unless you liked it. Then no. Not a joke" she bit her lip slightly, in an almost seductive manner

He was so conflicted. 'JUST MAKE UP YOUR MIND WOMAN?!??' were the thoughts echoing in his head. "Yeah- sure babe." He said poking her forehead and sitting up straighter.

(Will Brett regret saying that? )

She smiled a bit and leaned over the table, careful of the pizza below her and grabbed the collar of his shirt.
" so….you wouldn't mind if i…." She came a bit closer to where her lips where lingering over his "do it again?"

He was back to mad blush. "You- again? Heh- you-" he wasn't sure what to say- so he didn't. He leaned up and kissed her before she could make the first move, pulling away with a grin.

She let go of him with wide eyes and sat back down. "That…..uh…" She mumbled then looked away. "I….imgonnagogetsome….silverware. Yeah…" She made up an excuse then excused herself from the table and walked away swiftly. It was painfully obvious she was flustered

As soon as she was gone, Brett turned madly red. "Why the heck did I just do that!?!??!?!" He yelled at himself covering his face and slumping in the seat.

She reached the counter, though realizing that they had ordered a pizza. So she just ordered two waters.
As she was waiting she leaned against the nearest ball, trying to hold in a squeal.
She had just kissed him!
But it was just as a joke….right? She couldn't help but feel a little sad at the fact that Brett was probably just joking. Of course he wouldn't actually want to kiss her. Nobody would. At least not for her. Maybe for her body. And she did have nice full lips. But for her as a person?
Nobody would

Brett was so flustered. "Did I mean it?" He asked himself. He wasn't even sure himself. Did he just do it to beat her to it? Was she even going to kiss him again? Did he just screw up everything, their entire friendship? Why were all his thoughts- SO LOUD?!? (XDDDDDD) "Erg!" He grunted before rubbing his temple trying to clear his head.

And anyway, what was he doing kissing someone when he already had a "special lady friend". Was he just one of those types of people? No, he's not like that. But….then what was that?
Though the biggest problem she had with all of this… Was this left her just wanting more…and she liked it!
Her thoughts were all interrupted by a lady's voice "your waters miss" she says with a smile.
"Right…thank you" she took the drinks and made her way to Brett

Brett tried to breath- but seeming to fail. "OK Brett- time to calm down now. She could come back any second now." He mumbled messing up his hair. He needed to get over this- but he wasn't sure he ever would!
What happened if they were walking, and found themselves mistakenly under the mistletoe? ALONE!?
Or if they were locked in a closet for unknown reasons, on NEW YEARS EVE!?
Or- maybe summer rolled around, and they were at the beach, and one of them needed mouth to mouth- AND THEY WERE ALONE!?!?!
WHAT WOULD HE EVEN DO!?! OK the last one didn't really count, but it was where their lips touched each other. And he wasn't sure he could do it again.

She walked to the table, forcing a small smile, though at the moment, all she wanted to do was hide her face and scream in her pillow.
She set the waters down and slid into her seat without a word.
She didn't dare to say anything. Nor did she even touch the pizza…yet
She was waiting for him to say something. But…what was he going to say? Was he going to laugh at her for acting so flustered and tell her it was all just a joke? She didn't know if she could continue to hang out with him tonight if he did that. She would most likely be holding back tears.
"come on….say something." her mind screened at her.
Screaming at her for being so stupid. And also…to.be wanting to do it again.

He took a breath and looked up at her and gave her a firm nod. "Thanks." Brett's inner mind was going wild.
'THANKS!?!?! THAT IS ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY!?!?!?! THANKS!?!?! NOT EVEN THANK YOU!?!?!' His mind echoed over and over. Brett groped for something better. "For- the water I mean- you didn't have to."

She turned to him a little, her dark eyes flickered back from him as her blush grew. He was awkward, but she only thought that made him cuter than before.
"STOP IZZY, WHATRE YOU DOING? YOU CANT LIKE THIS GUY! wait….why can't i like him? Good question. HOLD THAT THOUGHT"

"well what else would you be thanking me for?" She says running her fingers through her braids of hair.

'GREAT GOING YOU MORON!'
Brett turned a darker shade of pink. "I- just didn't think Thanks was enough- er-sorry…" He mumbled avoiding her gaze.

She laughed a bit and rolled her eyes. "Hey, I'm sorry." She says taking a drink of her water.
Why was she apologizing? She had no clue, to be honest. She just felt like she should.
What if he didn't like it and that's why he was being weird and awkward? That was the best thing that she could come up with. Well, that wasn't the best thing. But it was the most realistic thing she had at the moment

He just kinda went silent, reaching up and grabbing a slice of pizza. "So- where are we going afterwards?" He asked trying to make things less awkward.

She wanted to facepalm and scream at that very moment.
"HE JUST IGNORED MY APOLOGY?!?! WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS HUH?"
She rolled her eyes and grabbed a piece herself, taking a bite and shrugging. " wherever you wanna go. I just came here to get presents. Which i don't think I'll find any good ones here anymore. I think the jewelry store bought out all of my luck.

He nodded and slowly ate the pizza. "So- we can head home if you'd like. I don't have anything here I can get today anyways."

"If you want. We can always torture kids and steal their money" she joked as she finished a slice, picking up another

"Uh yeah- I'm gonna pass this time." He said- half concerned, half laughing.
'What the heck!?! IZZY!?!?'

“Awe really? I thought it would be fun” she says sarcastically as she took another bite. “So I take it you don’t like morbid humor huh?” She laughed a little

"Well- I mean, sorta?" He said confused at his own answer. "I mean, it doesn't bother me, but I wouldn't joke about it."

“Note taken. So tell me about yourself. What do you like? I’m general. It doesn’t have to be about humor. Though I would like to know that also” she says swirling the ice cubes around in the cup with her straw

He bit his lip thinking about it for a moment. "That's a tough question, could you narrow it down, one thing at a time?"

“Fine. Let’s start with the easiest one. Types of people?” She raised her eyebrow
