Killian nodded. "Yeah, no problem." he replied, looking down at her with a faint, gentle smile.
Killian nodded. "Yeah, no problem." he replied, looking down at her with a faint, gentle smile.
Jade sighed trying to calm down the ache in her heart. She was relieved that he didn't ask for more information and was just offering kind consolation. ”I’m sorry for reacting that way. I didn't mean to upset you.”
Killian shook his head. "I wasn't upset. Just confused." he replied with a shrug. "I thought I had said something wrong, and i wasn't sure what it was."
Jade shook her head. ”You didn't do anything wrong.” she assured him, slowly straightening herself out. ”I should probably apologize to Sparky too.”
"Alright." Killian replied. He slowly removed his hands from her back, eyes studying her carefully.
Jade smiled weakly at him. She was feeling better… or as much as she could for now. She just needed to get her mind off it for a while. Being completely honest, she probably was still going to cry herself to sleep but she would be ok. ”Just give me a second to grab my helmet.”
Killian nodded. "Alright." he replied again, and stepped away to give her some space. He ran a hand through his hair.
She nodded and walked over to where her helmet had landed. It was specially customized to be bulletproof and visor was less breakable than standard glass. She brushed off the light bit of dirt that had stuck to it and headed back over to Killian.
Killian watched her for a moment, trying to make sure she really was okay. He sighed softly. His black hair was sticking up all over his head in spikes.
Jade started snickering a little as she noticed Killian’s hair. ”You’re not about to use your lightning spell, are you?” she teased.
Killian laughed softly. "No. I mean, if you want me to, sure." He replied with a smile. He chuckled.
She shook her head. ”Just checking, is all. Once was enough for me.” she laughed, brushing her own hair back. ”My hair wouldn't lay flat all day.”
He grinned. "Great." He replied, smirking a little.
”Easy for you to say. The wild messy hair look actually works for you. Me, on the other hand, not so much.” she chuckled. ”Thankfully, Sophie didn't make the connection between the two events.”
Killian laughed. "Mm. Sophie is the roommate, right?" He asked, smirking a little. "Maybe I should go try my chances with her." He teased. "Wonder what she thinks of morally grey villains with cute haircuts." He winked.
Jade nodded, a playful smirk on her face. ”Yeah, she's my roommate but she wouldn't go for Hex. She actually accused me of having a thing for bad boys when we were watching your fight. And then she questioned my sanity because it was your fight.” she shook her head. ”She might like Killian though.”
Killian grinned. "Hm. I see. Can't I be a bad boy and be Killian?" he asked, smirking over at her.
”Oh, absolutely. Just not a villain. Not on a date.” she smirked back. ”At least not on a date with a civilian.”
Killian grinned. "You sure you just don't want her knowing how hot I am?" he asked, teasingly.
Jade laughed. ”I have no problem with her knowing you. As long as you behave yourself.” she smiled, bumping against his side as they walked. ”Fair warning though, Sophie has never had a relationship that lasted more than a few weeks at most.”
Killian laughed. "Mhm." he replied, smirking. "I'm just teasing. I don't want to get any more involved with…" he waved a hand. "Safer for both of us if I don't get too involved in your personal life."
Jade shrugged with a smaller smile. ”Probably for the best. It would be awkward fighting one of my roommate's ex’s.” she teased. Honestly, she was a little relieved that he wasn't serious about Sophie. She didn't think that they would be good for each other.
Killian laughed. "Mm. And that's the only reason?" he asked, arching an eyebrow at her and grinning.
Jade smirked. ”The only reason I'm telling you.” she teased.
Killian smirked right back, laughing. "Mm. Fine. Maybe I should ask Sparky. Maybe he'll tell me." he replied, eyes glinting with mischief.
Jade shrugged. ”You could but even he doesn't know everything that goes on in my head.” she replied equally mischievous. ”What if we made things interesting?”
Killian raised his eyebrows. "Oh? And what do you propose to make it more…interesting?" he asked, looking at her with amusement.
”Well, I was just thinking…” she answered coyly. ”If you're still up to a sparring match, if you win I could give you another reason.”
"Hmm…" Killian studied her. "Now that sounds interesting."
”And if I win…” she paused thoughtfully. ”What would you give me?” Jade asked when she couldn't think of anything to ask for.
